Affordable, high-quality coffee maker
Flair Espresso has a couple models under $200, they even have a portable version. they are manual espresso makers, so the process is more involved than an automatic but you can get higher quality shots than you would on an automatic machine of the same price. whichever kind of machine or device you choose i would highlyyy recommend getting a good grinder, this along with fresh beans will make maybe even more difference than the machine. same thing here, the manual version will get you more bang for your buck but im not sure if you’re looking for the extra labor that comes along with it. i have one from 1zpresso that was probably about $150 and i really love it.

Single serve coffee makers for the low motivated
How much are you willing to spend? I use a Hario v6 with size 2 filters - makes up to two mugs with ease. I use a 1zspresso K Ultra grinder This setup should last longer than I do on this earth. (The hario was cheap, the grinder cost a little but is totally worth it - I buy my beans at a local roaster down the street).

Burr Grinder Recommendations
Manual grinder. I have a 1zpresso ZP6. It’s tailored for filter coffee and it’s great.

Recommendations for coffee machine - single serve?
1Zpresso hand grinder, filtered water, and the same carefully stored fresh beans - every time. I’ve read several online reviews that complain about inconsistent coffee with the one cup model.

Unpopular opinion: AliExpress is great ... for some products, like simple metal items.
1zepresso, kingrinder, timemore are excellent coffee grinder brands, and they’re sold at aliexpress.

Best Coffee machines recommendation?
For espresso : Cafelat Robot If you have a good grinder, it's in my opinion the best way to make an espresso at home without having to get a top tier automatic machine For pour over : Hario V60 This is how you get the best from your coffee. Very simple and delicious Again, you need a good grinder If you are considering serious coffee drinking : The first step is to get a good grinder, it can be electric or manual Whatever you choose as a method or as a machine, Just get a good grinder Nothing Beats freshly ground coffee I have a 1Zpresso K-Ultra : it covers all types of coffee brewing method From that, you will be able to get the best from your coffee From that,

Where do I find a good manual coffee grinder?
Highly agree with this comment. I own a Kingrinder for specialty pour over and an 1zpresso for espresso. They're solid grinders that feel good to use. IIRC Kingrinder and 1zpresso are made by the same company (or in the same factory) but Kingrinder is meant to be sold to the East (Asia) while 1zpresso is meant to be sold in the West (Americas & EU).

Where do I find a good manual coffee grinder?
I bought a 1ZPresso K-Max when I lived in an apartment and space was premium. It’s a fantastic grinder but takes elbow grease. Especially if making coffee for multiple people. It rarely gets used anymore now that we have space for a Breville Touch that has a built in grinder plus a Baratza grinder

List your 3 favorite BIFL items and at least 1 regret or fail
1. Goruck GR1 - survived deployment and multiple field excursions. It’s been around the world and back with me and it looks like I got it out of the box yesterday. 2. Lodge cast iron and Dutch oven - never had a problem, period. 3. Tough to narrow down but probably my Moccamaster with a 1zpresso hand grinder. Great coffee every time. My only regret was a waxed canvas field jacket from Orvis but it’s no fault of the coat. It’s an awesome coat but I should’ve bought something warmer.
