  Levi's jeans failed after 2 years - what are the best hard wearing jeans that will last longer?

  Are those your size or adapted to your body shape? Picture 2 looks like a tear from pulling and it would happen even with a no-stretch one. The hole in the crouch looks more like a mistery. Also you don’t specify how many ounces. I do work in fashion and yes, denim quality is definitely getting worse for made in Asia. I would suggest you invest some money and get made in Italy or made in Tunisia or Romania. They have specialized factories. Brands with denim that lasted for years are Dsquared2 and Marithé & François Girbaud (if you find them vintage from the 90’s it’s a plus, the one made in Italy though, not the one produced by VF corp in the US because they were cutting corners as far as I remember). Dsquared2 is produced by the same company as Diesel, so you might want to look into that too. Another great quality brand is A.P.C., French brand made in Tunisia. The owner has a thing for quality and has a politic of lower margins / lean structure that allows them to have lower prices with same quality fabric as other brands.   Looking for BIFL jeans

  Look for companies that specialise in denim, not Levis, higher end marques which take their materials seriously. I havent tried APC jeans but their other clothes are pretty sturdy. Agnes B as well have incredible workmanship.

  NYT just put out a list of their BIFL picks

  I approve of their main pick for jeans (A.P.C. New Standard) but I am having a real Old Man Moment at that price. I got into raw denim about 20 years ago, and these jeans used to cost $120. At $295, you've opened the door to nearly the entirety of Japan-made denim (especially if bought in person, in Japan,) which is easily a higher quality product for the money.
