Is the Acne studios scarf worth it?
love mine! it is so warm, a great length and overall so beautiful. only slightly annoying aspect is that the material composition its prone to shedding, especially if you wear it often. if you can deal with that, its a great purchase

Brands That Used to Be BIFL — But Aren't Anymore?
Pendleton Rant: I needed a new winter coat and looked at resale sites* to find a high quality used one in August. I wanted a black mid length wool parka style. I found 2 that matched online, one Pendleton, the other Acne Studios(very trendy swedish designer). Neither ended up fitting me despite checking measurements. The AS (men's) coat was beautiful-100% wool, solid metal zippers and snaps. Immaculate silhouette, cutting, and sewing. Gave it to my nephew and now I'm the cool aunt again. I found an AS women's coat in a different style and love it. Excellent silhouette for a woman's nylon parka. The Pendleton coat was scratchy and a higher percent poly than the listing. Low quality lining not sewn well. The shape was boxy and straight, sleeves way too long. It had those tiny teeth plastic zippers that always go bad and light aluminum snaps. I took a closer look. A vintage tag was sewn on, but still had the newer tags with the correct information. It was a "real" Pendleton coat, but nothing Oregon about it. Fabric not made at the OR mill that provided the material when sewn overseas. I got it from a site that I could return it to and complained about the vintage tag in the listing. *Summer is a good time to troll for resale winter coats.
