Looking for glass jars the size of this plastic one
Anchor makes a similar glass storage container with lids. The lids crack over time. I’ve had mine for over 10 years and a few of the lids have just cracked over time. I’ve bought mine at Ross or Tj maxx over the years. They usually have some on sale, and I have bought them off the clearance rack there as well. They do sell silicone replacement lids, but I haven’t tried any yet.

What are some items under $500 you’ve made so far that changed your life?
Anchor hawking glass tupperware. They come in sizes from 1oz to 4-6 cups. They're oven safe. They act as my primary bowls, and I don't even have to dirty more dishes, putting left overs into tupperware. Their are 2 different types, one of them is a locking seal which accomodates liquid like foods such as soups. My partner can take food to work. The lids are easily replaceable and affordable if needed, I have yet to need to do so. No microwave, no problem, oven safe also mean airfryer safe or in my instance Ninja Combi 14 in one Multicooker safe.

I have a bunch of anchor glass and they have held up well. I think about it every time I see the Pyrex posts here I also never put them in the dishwasher, I think that’s what kills the lettering

I have new soda-lime pyrex measuring cups and vintage borosilicate and I have never had problems with markings wearing off either. Are people sand blasting them?

Oh it’s been dropped plenty. I’ve got kids between the ages of 17 and 3 lol. The marks are mostly there but most of the numbers are gone. You can still use it for measuring easily.

Yeah I don't expect glass to break unless I drop it. I'm mostly impressed with how well the lettering has held up. A measuring cup without the measurements is mostly useless.

I think I've had all my glassware for decades. Glass doesn't just fall apart, unless you break. I pretty much consider anything glass BIFL.
