Heavyweight hoodie and sweatpants, 44 waist
Can confirm. I love my heavy Carhartt hoodie, but the arbor wear is heavier, softer and much warmer. That said, the Carhartt gets more use since it is lighter.

I’m looking for a BIFL hoodie
Duckworth has the best hoodies. Feather light and super warm but very breathable. You will want one in every color. Then on the heavier side is arborwear. Best heavy hoodie you can buy in my opinion. Both will definitely last

Slim but durable double knee work pants?
Im a welder fabricator. It kills pants i wear a hole thru carhartts reg duck. Any other of their models die fast. Double knee helps but carhartts dont ever fit. Even if i go to their store 4 pairs same size will all be diff. Not to mention appearing to be designed for fat asses - literally. I switched to Arborwear cuz i climb trees too, and they are far superior to carhartt. Theyre high quality real work *pants* but expensive and heavy. Its a thicker material. Theyll last for years but are not ideal for summer at all. Plus im tall and skinny 32 waist and they too have a larger ass which in that material that doesnt stretch it can be a bummer when theyve been worn all day its warmer an u get tha swamp ass. But for winter theyre great. Found myself wearing hiking pants for summer an had to make a double knee/ lap patch for both sides with old duck material and an ancient singer my great aunt left me. Its a bummer when tha only pants that fit right cant hold up without a major overhaul. They shud make custom work pants... I can see there wud be a market but theyd be high. Kind like comparing justin to whites boots.

Long-lasting shirt and pants for wood cutting work
A little on the spendy side, but 1620 pants and jackets are very nice. [https://www.1620usa.com/](https://www.1620usa.com/) In some of their products they use NYCO and other tech-y fabrics that are a little stretchy, water resistant, and very very abrasion resistant especially compared to cotton duck fabric. I would look at their Foundation pant before pulling the trigger on something like the durastretch or double knee pants. However, I would also recommend getting coveralls if you're splitting a lot of wood or a pair of those expensive chainsaw pants if you're clearing a lot of trees. They're all about the same Arborwear, or Husqvarna or Stihl, arbortech, treestuff etc.. But they all have that chain stopping fabric that clogs the chainsaw before it can cut your leg. More like PPE than "pants" if that makes sense. I would always wear the Stihl chaps and the integrated helmet/hearing protection/facemask thing if I was running the chainsaw all day.

Long-lasting shirt and pants for wood cutting work
I can't personally speak to their quality today, but back in the day I loved my Arborwear pants. Tough as nails, gusseted crotch, founded and originally designed by an arborist specifically for outdoor work.

What work wear jackets, canvas jackets, denim jackets actually last you for life?
Freenote cloth, ship John, private white v.c. As for workwear, nothing is gonna be bifl. But my go to is truwerk. If I could afford it I'd prob rock 1620 workwear. Also hear really good things about arborwear hoodies. Mascot seems to be very good as well.

Full zip hoodie that will actually last?
Arborwear. I haven't bought a full-zip from them but if it's anything like my pullover sweatshirt then it'll be solid for *at least* 10 years. https://arborwear.com/product/400241/

Full zip hoodie that will actually last?
Second arborwear, my arborwear hoody is a pullover but is all cotton and built like a suit of armor. Looks like they do make a black zip front model.

Men’s pants that won’t rip?
even dickies have become trash recently, and the customer service isn’t as forgiving. i bought about 10 pairs of their flex carpenter whatever whatever buzzword jeans over 2 years and i have about 2 left. i sent a photo of the 8 pairs with crotch holes from tip to taint and said something like, hey, i’m not asking for anything, but i’ve lost a bit of money on your products if you wanna let QC know. and if you also want to give me a free pair i wouldn’t say no… they told me in corporate, but i’ll translate for the layman, “sucks to suck.” i buy arborwear and duluth now. crotch gusset. 75-100 bucks a pair of pants instead of 30, but my arborwear have lasted a year and are still going. my dickies last about a month on average. i’m an airplane mechanic, so not even anything real rough and rugged like a cattle farming or rough carpentry.

Best Heavyweight Cotton Hoodie
Arborwear hoodies are bad to the bone. It's like two of the best hoodie you ever had combined into one. So thick and durable. Hood is huge! So is my head so that was a selling point. The hoods are designed so a hardhat can fit. Only con is that if they get soaked they weigh like 40 lbs! That much cotton can soak up alot of dang water!

My first American Giant hoodie
Yeah but arborwear isn’t made in the USA. Certainly nothing to do with BIFL, I’m sure the the double walled arborwear is actually tougher but you vote with your dollar
