You know if the padding flakes off, you can just replace the padding for much cheaper than replacing the entire headset. I’ve had the same Arctis headset for 4 years.

A gaming headset with low latency after 4+ years of regular use — what actually held up
Had my Arctis 5’s since they launched in 2016. Still sound great, super comfy and buy new ear cushions every few years because they are cheap and only probably I had was the cord went bad, which cost like $15 to replace.
