What are the best E-Bike brands and models under 2000$
As mentioned, no ebike is BuyItForLife. However I've been loving my Aventon Level 2 I got May of last year. Got it at a garage sale with 16 miles on it. Came with 2 batteries and decent $100 seat. Just arriving at 500 miles. Actually brought it in for a tune up this week (thankfully the shop sells Aventon)

I ride ebikes a lot. I just got a trailer for costco runs. I've got 6300 miles on my current ebike (Juiced RipRacer) and I haven't driven to work in over 3 months. Ebikes are not BIFL. If you buy from a store, you have a source for maintenance and parts. Plus, you can test ride. If you are mechanically inclined, you have more options online, but you should still stick with the 'big names' for parts and customer support. Lectric, Aventon, etc. My bike's brand Juiced went out of business before my warranty was up (but will return under Lectric ownership eventually). My ebike commute is the best part of my day instead of being a stress-fest. I've got a family of bald eagles and a fox den I've been watching all summer.

I bought an Aventon last year during their Labor Day sale. I have 1400 miles on it, mostly from commuting to work and grocery/beer runs. I am really pleased with it.
