  Check out strollers with a bassinet option or ones that can lay flat for newborns. Stuff like the UPPAbaby Vista or Baby Jogger city Select can last for years and change as your kid gets older. Make sure they work with infant car seats too. A lot of folks mention borncritic for reviews and side-by-sides, so that might help you out

  Babyjogger. Even easily converts to two kids while being relatively compact. Thule or BOB if you’re active, but they are big.

  We have used and abused the baby jogger city select. We have used it for our three kids and very much enjoyed it.

  We used a frame that allowed you to click the infant car seat into it, and then a folding Babyjogger City mini stroller. I had 4 kids absolutely never wanted one of those massive strollers. The folding city mini stroller is so easy to use. I used to run laps around my local grocery store with it while all of the Uppababy first time baby moms were struggling to get through the aisles. Putting it in the trunk of the car was also a three second process.

  I think this is probably right. I have the Vista and bought hoping it would work for many years and multiple kids - and it has. My kids, 3 and 5, still want to ride in it enough that I haven’t passed it along yet. But it’s pretty heavy, esp if getting in and out of the car frequently. I ended up buying a small baby jogger for airports and travel, and it’s so nice and light getting in and out of the car. The Vista does everything and is so super sturdy but there are a few drawbacks.

  I used to nanny and one of my families had an uppababy and a BOB jogger. The uppababy was good but I ended up using the Bob way more, and I fell in love with the maneuverability of the 3-wheel design. When I had my own kids, I immediately knew I wanted a 3-wheel stroller, because it’s such an amazing pushing experience, but I ended up getting a Baby Jogger version instead of the Bob because I wanted a smaller fold and a lighter weight (small car and small apartment life!!). It reclines down far enough for a newborn, although it also has a lot of car seat attachment options, and it’s really maneuverable and easy to push. It doesn’t quite have the glide of the Bob and the basket is a little small but it’s no slouch either! I ended up with a baby who would not nap unless being pushed in the stroller, so you’d better believe I put that stroller through it. 5-8 miles a day for over a year, in all weather, up and down hills, through grass, you name it. I have zero regrets and sing the praises of the baby jogger to anyone and everyone. We upgraded to a double from the same brand for our second kid, but we still use the single stroller when my older kid can walk.  For the record, strollers are something it is very easy to find on the secondhand market, in very good quality. I’ve bought all of mine “used” but basically unused. It’s worth it to try out multiple styles if you aren’t sure. Experience is the best teacher when it comes to baby gear, unfortunately.

  Nuna double stroller: anyone have any long-term experience with one?

  Just grab something from the trash. Just this weekend I found two double strollers in the curbside garbage. One was a BOB revolution is great shape. The other a Baby Jogger City mini double or something. Both in nice condition,high quality devices and will last several more years. If you get a nice one for free it tales a lot of worry out of whether it will last or not.

  Stroller Recommendations

  We used a Baby Jogger Citi Mini GT2 daily for at least a couple years, commuting to and from daycare/preschool. And even after that it was still in good condition. Only negative was relatively limited storage space.
