The Best Hair Straightener to Buy Right Now? Recommendations?
That's impressive, I use the Babyliss Nano Titanium now lightweight even heat and great for thick or fizzy hair. Heats up fast and gives smooth results with fewer passes.

What's the best electric shaver for a sensitive scalp?
I struggle with the same issues and I often use a Oneblade for most shaves, and if I want a closer finish for a event or anything I go over it with a foil shaver. For the foil shaver, I had a cheap double roller one from amazon for a few months which worked well but lost it when traveling. Upgraded to a bay bliss and I found it much smoother, but I still prefer the OneBlade for ease, cost and speed.

Beard Trimmer recommendation for adjustable length
the philips 5000 is basically a solid all-rounder for length control. but it leaves stubble so your neck never looks properly cleaned up. the babyliss skeleton is made for lining up and edging. it gives you that super close cut, sharp outline and almost barber-shop feel. but it’s not really designed for adjustable lengths or an all-over trim so you end up needing both tools. for something with more precision, go for a professional-style clipper with adjustable taper lever. otherwise you can also look at stuff marketed as a trimmer+detailer. i prefer the [clipper route](https://GrowthGridLab.github.io/Discover/?to=beard_trimmer_recommendation_for_adjustable) even though it is bulkier because it’s barber-grade. no single cordless tool does both perfectly, but you can get close. comes down to whether you want more convenience or more precision.

Hair dryers? What should I be looking for?
No it was from the 80’s. I got a babyliss “pack” at ulta and it came with different diffusers and a free mini curling iron.

What's the oldest thing you still use daily that works like new?
The oldest thing that comes to mind is my hair straightener I got in high school. I’ve had it 15 ish years and it’s still works exactly the same with at least weekly use (usually more often) since I got it. I never thought about the brand till now but it still has the faded brand on the side, nano titanium babyliss pro so I guess I can highly recommend it!

Nose hair trimmers that work?
The best trimmer for nose I've ever tried is BaByliss Super-X Metal Series Nose Trimmer. It works much better than my Braun 5 with nose trimming head - faster, no pain and cleaner. Recommend it.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
Just replaced my babyliss straightener after 13 years because I wanted a longer cord… still worked fine, donated it to the thrift. Underrated brand!!!

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
I will only buy “real” jewelry anymore. Brand doesn’t matter, but solid gold or silver, and real gemstones, not costume jewelry. I don’t have many pieces, but the ones I have are good quality, classic styles, and will definitely outlive me and be passed down (some of what I have has been passed down to me so it’s already lived a few generations). I buy good skincare products and wear sunscreen daily. I’m in my 40’s now and appreciate how important it is. I use Cerave, Olay, RMS Beauty, and Farmhouse Fresh products. Someone else mentioned a BaByliss hairdryer. I’ve had mine for probably 10 years and it shows no sign of stopping. I love it. We have stainless AllClad cookware, which was gifted to us as wedding gifts 17 years ago. I fully expect them to last for life. I’ve also splurged on solid wood furniture. Mostly vintage pieces. Though I don’t expect to buy anymore furniture anytime soon. And honestly, what we have was probably less expensive than, say, Ikea stuff and is better quality.

Electric Razor - Braun? Philips?
Not to be to contrary -- but my barber swears by BaByliss [https://babylisspro.com/barber-shaving](https://babylisspro.com/barber-shaving)

Hey does anyone know of a good body/face trimmer?
On this sub, most people will tell you some form of Wahl or Phillips. But when you go to a professional salon, you won’t see either brand. My barber uses BaByliss brand, but recommended Novaah brand to me whoch I purchased and it has been 10x better than my old Phillips. Just my 2 cents.

What's the best hair dryer?
FWIW, I do really love my Dyson supersonic. I got it on sale in 2019 and so far, so good. Dries my hair significantly faster than other dryers, and my hair definitely feels healthier. As an alternative, babyliss dryers are great, but the dyson is far superior imo. Ulta and Sephora sales sometimes include dyson.

Babyliss. Hair stylist recommended. I have thick long hair and dries it with 10 minutes or so. Been using for years and still works great

Best electric face shaver?
Babyliss fx3 foil shaver and braun series 9 are considered the best. No electric shaver is BIFL though in the sense that you’ll always need to buy replacement blades / foils

Beard Trimmer recommendation for adjustable length
You need comb attachments for the Babyliss, or learn clipper-over-comb technique. Afaik there are no trimmers with built-in adjustment like the Phillips which can be zero-gapped, which is what enables the Babyliss to cut so close.

Looking for a good hair straightener. preferable the comb through kind
Not the comb through kind but my babyliss titanium pro (the blue one) lasted from 2008 to 2022. Now I’m on my second of the same.
