💯💯💯! Every time I watch a YouTube video where someone has Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc tools, I really have to wonder what the hell they're getting out of it that's worth 4x what my Bauer drill can do. And their warranty system! It's the ONLY place I'll drop extra for the warranty on anything. You walk in with a broken tool, or hell, even just an old one, they send you out the door with a brand new box. In and out in 15, no questions asked.

Well thank you very much! ❤️ I was also looking at a couple of Bauer hockey bags too, from a local Source For Sports. I know this is also a little weird, asking for help from here, but I want to know what other humans may think. I'll wait for other responses before I pull the trigger on anything myself, and I'll also take a look at the Warrior bags too. Maybe I can put another one of my cushion kits in there too if it gets to the point where I need to lug it about. Much appreciated.

What’s the best flashlight for an appliance repair guy
The [Braun 500 lumen rechargeable bar work light](https://www.harborfreight.com/500-lumen-led-rechargeable-magnetic-handheld-foldable-slim-bar-work-light-59536.html) from Harbor Freight is recommended by many that work on cars etc. People often recommend it better than the more expensive Icon bar light because it has the 180 degree swivel whereas icon doesn’t. I also have the [Milwaukee M12 Rover light](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-ROVER-Service-and-Repair-Flood-Light-with-USB-Charging-2367-20/314746266). It is so awesome working on cars and under kitchen sink or wherever with this light - it is one of my favorite tool right next to my trusty headlamp that I use for everything. Lots of people rave about this light. It is magnetic also.

I’ve always been a Makita guy without knowing anything about the corporate side. My tools always just felt more solid and durable than coworkers’ Dewalt or Milwaukee. Then I saw this in r/construction.
Yeah, the Hercules is good too. I had started with Bauer a long while ago, so with the batteries already bought, i stuck with it! I use Milwaukee for job tools which dont come home, so for around the house it's hobo freight all day. Just bought the bauer pole saw last week and it's cut about 50 too high to reach branches already!

Which tool brand ecosystem would you invest in for 2025 and why for the occasionally frugal DIYer?
I’m just a DIYer but over the last few years I’ve bought quite a few tools for home projects. I was on a budget so I went with Bauer from Harbor freight. So far I haven’t had a single tool die on me or really give me any problems. The one exception is the weed whacker- that one sucks. I have an oscillating saw, oscillating multitool, chop saw, compound miter saw, battery operated nail gun, and a few others. I’m sure the quality isn’t as high as Milwaukee/makita/dewalt, but I’m not doing super high quality professional work, so these tools have worked well for me and they are like half the price. Just my 2 cents.

Ridgid, hands down. It has the best warranty in the business, and they replace batteries for life. That's as close as you'll get to BIFL with battery-powered tools. If you're looking for a budget-friendly platform for light home projects, Bauer is a great option.

Not true. As far as I know hardly any power tools have a lifetime warranty. I know for a fact Milwaukee only covers up to five years but it varies across their tool lineup. The fact is there’s so many moving parts and electronics power tools are never BIFL although it is worth paying for quality IMO. But I’m a tradesman so if you’re not using this stuff every day at work I would buy cheaper. Honestly I’ve had some Bauer tools from harbor freight and they’ve been pretty damn solid.

Believe it or not, Walmarts new Hyper Tough stuff, with the black logo seems to be pretty good. Torque test channel on YouTube tested some of their impact tools and they performed fairly well compared to the big brands and at a good value. They’ve got a huge variety of tools on their 18v platform, and they’re a great value. Direct tool outlet regularly has good deals on Ryobi tools, will definitely have everything you’d need
