Looking for a full outdoor winter clothes system.
For cold days working outside (walking but not super active either) I like a base layer, pants and ski bibs on the bottom, a base layer, waffle shirt and natural fiber insulation (wool/ cashmere/ alpaca) sweater on top with a thin down jacket or vest with a big coat on top. This lets you open the big coat and or vest if you get too warm. For shoes I like the insulated bean boots most of the time with a nice wool/ synthetic blend sock (like what you can get at cabellas etc) but to rotate I’ll also do a supportive sneaker with neos overshoes, especially if it’s raining and mucky.

1. My Dutch oven (especially with my sourdough starter now) it’s just Martha Stewart brand from Macy’s but the coating has held up very well and even when I’ve burned chili into the bottom of it, I’ve been able to scrub it out. 2. Bean boots I’ve had for over 10 years (I did get a new pair last year but I’m still using my old pair as my chicken coop winter boots) 3. Lobster rope doormats! I’ve had these at all our exterior doors for years and they last forever. The best part is they’re reusing waste rope from lobster traps. 1 regret is Dyson vacuum. We had an upright from our wedding that gave us so many issues and even after we replaced parts, I still coupled get great suction. I got a shark last year and it’s been great so far!
