Dishwasher with no smart features
Hi, domestic appliance repair company owner here. More and more brands are incorporating features such as WiFi, but you can choose to not use these at all (in fact most people don't!). Here's the list in terms of reliability and long-term spare parts support: 1. Miele 2. Fisher & Paykel 3. Bosch (or Neff for integrated versions; both brands are owned by the same company and identical inside) 4. Samsung 5. Beko Miele and Fisher & Paykel are "luxury" brands and you should expect it to last 20+ years of real world use; much longer with the odd servicing requirements (replacing spare parts when they fail). Miele, as an example, we've repaired machines over 30+ years old and spare parts are still available. I hope this helps!

What niches/crucial things to critically consider when hunting for a new refrigerator outside of main points like preferred type, dimensions and capacity?
When it comes to fridges that last, there is one general rule: It must be white and boring. Simple no frills. And be from a reputable maker with a long heritage in the USA or Europe. Don't buy Korean or Chinese.

Beko Vs LG refrigerators
I'm about to in the next month buy a BEKO Fridge Freezer. You would pay a lot more for a Samsung/LG Fridge Freezer with similar useful beneficial features. BEKO AeroFlow - circulates air at a stable temperature without fluctuations for fresher fridge food, HarvestFresh - mimic the sun's 24-hour light cycle, preserving fruit & veg for 5 days longer, FastFreeze freezes fresh food 10% faster. Other features like WiFi colour touchscreens etc on some of the Samsung, LG etc Fridge Freezers aren't stuff I want or would use.
