I am not worried about anything falling out. And it's still pretty despite being hard on it. Any of the Bellroy products are going to be great.

Yours is likely from Ferragamo’s stronger era; recent runs vary, so judge the build, not the logo. For new ones, look for full-grain or good calf, turned edges (not thick painted), 7-9 stitches per inch, lined bill pocket, tight corner folds, and a clean Made in Italy stamp. Keep it lean; overstuffing kills seams. Condition lightly 1-2 times per year with Bick 4 or Saphir; skip mink oil; dry pocket helps. A cobbler can re-edge paint and restitch corners. I rotate Bellroy for travel and Ashland Leather for Horween patina; Latico Leathers is my soft, organized EDC pick when I need extra pockets without bulk. If the build checks out, a new one can last, but vintage or proven makers are safer.

If you love leather but hate strap bite, look for 1.5-2 inch straps with a webbing core and box-X stitched anchors, and add a clip-on sternum strap or a thin neoprene shoulder pad. Ten years is wild; yak holds up, but the comfort fix matters. Full-length straps stitched down the back panel last longer than tab-mounted ones, and a convertible tote-pack lets you swap shoulders fast. I’ve rotated a Bellroy Transit and a WaterField Bolt for heavy book days; Latico Leathers’ Dane handled office commutes when I wanted leather vibes without the strap bite. Wider, webbing-cored straps win.

Saddleback Leather for the win again. My eight year old wallet got a small tear in the ID window that unfortunately made it catch on my pocket. I emailed Saddleback to ask about the warranty process and got back an address request. They also said the model has been upgraded and was that OK... Yes!

Best men's wallet around
I never got the hype around nylon wallets, they don’t wear well, pick up lint like crazy, and just start looking tired way too fast. I just prefer leather because in my experience it holds up better and honestly just looks sharper over time. If you’re willing to give it a try, lean in the leather direction. There are so many great options like alpha pair, bellroy, or carl friedrik, they’ve all got solid builds and smart layouts. If you’re already using a samsung smarttag, go for alpha pair. It’s got an integrated smarttag slot (not just a loose pouch) and manages to fit 10+ cards with cash, and an ID window. Comes in a bunch of different colors too. The tradeoff is that it’s built specifically for Samsung’s smarttag, so if you’re not in that ecosystem, you’re probably better off with something more universal.

I’ve bought several from the brand Bellroy and the only reason I change them is because I find a different style I like more. The one I currently use is the Bellroy Card pocket. I’ve had it for 2 years I think. It’s been to several countries and in a few bodies of water with me. I will list wallets I own from them what I like about them, why I switched to a new one and give a summary. First purchase I made from Bellroy was the Slim Sleeve. Things I liked was how small it was, ease of access to quick use cards and pull tab for extra cards. Cons was if I ever carried cash it wasn’t easy to access. Reason I moved to a new wallet was for easier access to cash. Second purchase was the Hide and Seek. Things I liked was it felt more like a traditional wallet and allowed me to have access to my cash much easier as well as a “hidden” flap pocket for when I travel so I could stash cash out of sight. Reason I moved to a new wallet was because of frequency of travel. Third purchase was the Travel Wallet things I liked was it made it super easy to travel with my passport and when I didn’t need my passport I could put a notebook in its place. It has the same hidden pocket as the Hide and Seek and is an extremely functional wallet. Reason I moved to a new wallet is because I got divorced and stopped carrying cards for my ex wife and slimmed my wallet down a lot more. Forth purchase was the Card Pocket and the thing I like about it is the fact it’s just a place I can put my cards, I don’t carry cash very often but when I do it has a small pocket in the back I can put put folded bills. Fifth purchase was the Card Sleeve and I keep this in my pocket with my Card Pocket to hold extra cards. Things I like is ease of access for extra cards I don’t use frequently but still want on hand if I need them. All in all I absolutely love Bellroy, I have been purchasing with them since 2018 and they are my go to for wallets.

I've had my Bellroy wallet for over 7 years, carried every day, tossed around, etc. I've never done any kind of leather care and it's in awesome condition, only very small signs if wear on the corners and the fold points. I've loved it and it'll easily get another 7 years I'm sure. This is probably to say that you don't need to overthink this too much. I'd assume most well rated wallets of good leather quality will be good to you for plenty of years. My bellroy might not last 40+ years, but wallets might be obsolete well before then lol.

I've owned Saddleback and now Belroy. Saddlebacks didn't fail, but there was a design flaw on the medium wallet that would snap credit cards, which was annoying. Switched to the large, and it is so stiff that it really punished my jeans back pocket, and they were blowng out prematurely. I have a Belroy now, about 10 years. Looks great. Will it last till I am dead? No, and probably not as long as a saddleback would since its thinner leather. But I have zero regrets, and will hapilly replace it with another Belroy when the time comes, maybe in another 10 years or so.

I've had the Bellroy classic plus for about 5 years now, it's a really nice backpack but quite heavy when empty. The straps also started to slip after a few years (Bellroy gave me a full refund). For me it's worked well as an everyday backpack, it doesn't look too sporty and is really comfy - I've usually got it full of all my gym gear, laptop etc and never really notice the weight.

I've had this wallet a few years and I'm very happy with it. The design is very useful, with tons of capacity and accessibility, and the quality and durability is solid. It lives in my work bag and only gets a workout when I'm traveling, so durability isn't as much of a concern, but it's well made, even if it might not stand up to as much abuse as a higher-end wallet. My daily wallet is an Ashland Capone money clip, which as others have said is heirloom quality. The two work really well as a pair, with my 5-6 essential cards and cash in my pocket at all times, and my passport, extra cash, and all my other cards in the Bellroy in my work bag. Ashland does make a passport wallet for about the same price as the Bellroy, but it's significantly bulkier and has less capacity, so I prefer the Bellroy personally.

I have been slowly compiling a list of leather wallet makers, as recommended throughout Reddit. I'm reading reviews on different social media platforms. I have left off companies that have known issues responding to customers, always seem to have a 365 day sale, or their least expensive wallet is over $99 (like a basic card wallet). If you've had an issue with customer service with any of these, I'd be interested in hearing. Best backpack for everyday use and for travel
Osprey is solid, especially for travel, but for everyday use, it depends on what you need. I’ve used an Osprey Farpoint 40 for travel, and it’s been great.....comfortable, spacious, and fits as a carry-on. For everyday use, I prefer something more compact and structured, like the Aer City Pack or Bellroy Transit Workpack. Both look sleek and hold up well over time.

I have a Bellroy that’s about 15 years old. In like new condition, used every single day. It gets a little stretched out with all the stuff I jam in it but if I wet it a little, it shrinks back to original size.

I really enjoyed my Bellroy, but it was replaced by my wife. Unfortunately, it wasn’t with another Bellroy. The only reason I stopped using it was an incident on the roof while setting up Christmas lights. The cement shingles damaged the back pocket and wallet. I know it was a mistake to have it in my pocket, but I managed to slide safely to avoid falling.

I’ve had the card sleeve since 2013. Daily carry for a while and now it holds all my backup cards, insurance cards, etc and lives in my work messenger bag then gets moved into whatever I pack when I travel. One of the cards I keep on the outside has very raised print and I bet you could read my name and card number in the leather now but otherwise it looks brand new.

Yep. I have a Polo wallet that is probably 15+ as well. Which is sad because I’d like one of these really nice bespoke leather wallets but I have absolutely no need

I’ve had their card sleeve wallet since 2016 and it shows no signs of failure anytime soon. It has been my only wallet and gets daily use. It’s a beast.
