Dual layer gun belts are super awesome! I have an old AmeriHide one from about 11 years ago still hanging on. It's all dried out and cracked from wearing it when I worked in a chemical plant, but it still works. They went out of business, which is how I ended up going with beltman the next time around.

I've really liked my beltman belt. They are double layer belts for carrying a gun, but they're just nice rugged belts. Not too expensive if you go with the off the rack option. I've had mine for 4 years now, but I've seen other people give longer updates that were good.

Same here. I have a brown beltman belt that is great. I needed a black belt for work and ordered Hanks "gunner" belt because everyone in this sub seems to have a hard-on for them. It's fine as an every day belt but it is not on the same level as a beltman belt and is too flimsy to support a heavy load. I don't understand the hype around Hanks belts, there are better belts for less money but to each their own I guess.

Bullhide Belts, Beltman, Hank’s, and Gingerich all make lifetime belts. You get what you pay for. Make sure any leather belt you buy is full grain or top grain. If it says “genuine leather”, it’s leftover splits (the thin suede bottom layer of hide) with a platic coating.

I really like beltman belts. I use one as my everday belt even though I'm no using it to carry a sidearm. Beltman is all I wear anymore. I’ve had one from the original owner but the new owners have kept up with the quality. I have brown and black in both 1.25” and 1.5” and wear them for everything.
