  This is the best answer. Bick 4 is unlikely to alter the color. If that doesn’t work, only then would I resort to mink oil or similar.

  Condition it with some Bick 4. It will likely erase the scratches, but it will at least minimize the appearance. Then get yourself some pet blankets and keep them on the cushions. This will just keep happening.

  Depends on the type of leather, but bick 4 is the most universal and forgiving conditioner than doesnt darken your boots or leave any unwanted shines. Always good to have. For waterproofing and heavy mosturization, youll want to look into oils.

  best to ask the subreddit r/leather for that conditioning to keep it from going brittle will help. don't overcondition them, it'll make it so soft that it will break easily. stuff like bick4, venetian cream, and other stuff will be suggested. just apply when the leather gets on the dry side.

  Do not use leather honey on upholstery. It does not spread well, and it stays sticky. Bick 4 would be appropriate.

  Help me clean my BIFL leather boots?

  They kind of look like a mix of smooth leather and suede, but since it's all black it might not be as much an issue. Though for suede you will want a suede brush. The really fast version is: bursh>clean>moisturize>brush>protect Get a horse hair brush, saddle soap (for heavy cleaning), a leather moisturizer (when it's very light dirt you can go straight to this), and leather water proof (if you want). Saphir is supposed to be the best brand of products for leather maintenance, I use Bick. This video should be applicable.   Care about expensive boots (advice)

  I totally understand being cautious with expensive shoes, but you’ll learn they are generally tougher than people think. I clean with a horsehair brush. I also am primarily doing city walking, so they aren’t caked in mud. Boar or pig hair should be fine. IIRC they just take a little longer to break in and soften up. I brush, then wipe with a damp cloth, usually microfiber because I have a million. I’ll use an old toothbrush on the welt areas. Unless you have totally trashed your boots, don’t worry about saddle soap. It’s overkill. I condition with Bick 4. It’s cheap and easy here in the states. Venetian Shoe Cream is another option. I do not use Saphir Renovateur because I have seen photos of shoes/boots where it stripped the finish of the leather. Not worth the risk for me. Unfortunately, I’m not sure about conditioners in EU, but I’m sure there is something, maybe even from EG or C&J. I personally wouldn’t use wax on a pebble grain because it feels like it would be a pain in the ass. Cream polish is fine, just not as shiny. I wouldn’t worry too much about brushes. Get natural hair and inexpensive. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $10. Handmade is overkill. Chamois cloths are nice but old t-shirts work great, too. Last but not least, two important things: shoe trees & shoe bags. Let your shoes sit out for a half hour or snow before putting the trees in. Bags keep the dust off.
