Boots for NYC puddle jumping
You’re probably going to want something taller. Although they tend to be a bit heavier, the height is needed when in the depths of winter or depths of NYC puddles - Sorell Joan Of Arctic - Wellies: Hunter, Bogs, LL Bean *Notes* - ^ Hunter sells a liner sock for warmth - LL 🫘 has something like Yaktrax specifically designed for the bean boot. These work great on ice, but not on cement. - Sorel tends to run small for me - I’d suggest sizing up a whole size for boots. Your toes and feet need room so they don’t get cold. - Also be sure to wear a wool or merino wool sock. I’m a fan of Bombas. I heard Darn Tough is good too. I like smartwool, but they tend to wear out. Thankfully, you can send back for replacement. - Additionally, you can add a sock liner (REI & I’m sure other brands have them). Much like a glove liner, they are thinner but add a lot more warmth. - Lastly, consider wearing different pants (fleece lined sweats or leggings, snow pants) when commuting & changing once at work or your destination

The Best Kids' Clothes Right Now?
Hanna Anderson, GAP Baby/Kids, CrewCuts, Janie & Jack, North Face, Patagonia, Vans (sneakers), Bogs (boots). I buy on sale for new, or thrift these brands on ThredUp. I try to buy natural fibers (cotton, mostly). Everything holds up well and resells well because everything it is in excellent condition even used.

Winter boots with good soles for commuters who walk everywhere in Canada?
Except if you have wide toe box. Then Bogs Arcata might be good option.

Looking for a durable winter boots that will truly last
Bogs Arcata Tall - besides being warm, comfy, with a great gnarly sole for outstanding grip on snow and ice: you can really just slip your feet in and out of them without using your hands, just like slippers - somehow enabled by how flexible they are and the inner material. Super comfy, highly recommended.

BIFL *women's* winter boots, waterproof, arch support, please
Seconding the Boggs!!!! I live in the southern US and have a circulation disorder, even our mild winters will make my feet so numb I can't walk. Boggs short boots got me through a Colorado mountain trip with zero issues. I also bought their duck boot style for everyday wear, not as warm though.

BIFL *women's* winter boots, waterproof, arch support, please
My bogs were really good. I have heard they can peel sometimes and sadly aren't BIFL as much anymore, but mine lasted well during my trip.

Fellow New England lady here. I’ve had a pair of tall bogs for at least 10 years now. They’re fantastic.

BIFL *women's* winter boots, waterproof, arch support, please
I just bought the bogs snow boots a couple weeks ago [bogs winter boots](https://www.rei.com/product/254267/bogs-neo-classic-tall-snow-boots-womens) and they’re the warmest boots I’ve ever owned (they’re rated for -50F or something). I get cold super easily and I’ve worn them biking for an hour without so much as a chill. I haven’t had them for very long but I hear they’re as close as bifl as boots can get.

Warmest coat made of natural material that doesnt include down feathers?
Whatever the brand/materials, You gotta go for a full-length parka if you’re working outdoors. I live in New England and after a few miserable years being outside everyday all winter (my young children are…outdoor creatures), I bit the bullet and spent big bucks on an ankle-length parka. I will never, ever go back. I recommend sizing up if you’re like me and feel constrained by layers. Plus, it creates more of an insulated air pocket inside the coat. I also hate layers (sensory issues), and it’s been a dream being able to toss it over a good base layer top, a pair of insulated pants (highly recommend), wool socks, and warm boots (Bogs Mid Moc. They look more like fashion wear but I swear I have tried a dozen different brands and these beat them all by a mile — from someone with Raynauds). I go all out and add a fleece balaclava and no wind can touch me, even on the beach in January. Yes, I look absolutely ridiculous, and I am absolutely the warmest mom on the sledding slope. We went once last winter when the wind chill was like -20, gusts whipping off the water, and I happily sat on a bench in my fortress of warmth for over two hours until the kids were popsicles and it was nearly dark out, as comfortable as if I were snuggled on my couch at home. My holy grail is a pair of mittens or gloves that deliver as well as the parka AND are waterproof for snowman/snowball making.

What’s a good BIFL boot for snow, comfort, warmth, width & traction?
This local kids consignment shop...I actually get store credit for the stuff I consign but there is a cash option as well....the store credit is a higher percentage though and I always find great stuff for my boys there and just use my store credit to pay....feels better than buying new when kids outgrow stuff so quickly.... I've found some awesome Mini Boden/Hanna Andersson/other quality kids brand clothes for them, as well as like new kids Merrell shoes in several sizes (there's a Merrell outlet nearby so locals go crazy there when they have big end of season sale)...I love it and they always have unique clothes no one else is wearing. I also see people selling BOGS on Facebook marketplace....just be sure to photograph the bottoms of the boots as well as the other parts if you are posting there...I always look for that picture if I'm buying used footwear to make sure there is still tread.

What’s a good BIFL boot for snow, comfort, warmth, width & traction?
There are three generations of Bogs wearers in my family. The middle generation is on winter five or six. Added wool felt liners trying them out.

What’s a good BIFL boot for snow, comfort, warmth, width & traction?
My Bogs have held up great and I buy Bogs for my kids every year and then resell them when both boys have outgrow them.....always still in good shape after going through both kids. I buy the winter insulated ones, great for working in wet snowy conditions.

Sorel Boots. Bought in 1985. Changed the felt liners twice. Holding up great. The best snow boots!
So far, I like Bogs.
