Need help on ways I could potentially fix my antique key fob.
You could possibly try to peen the top of that stud down. Or you could get a D ring with a threaded bar and attach a new clip to that. To get it exactly as it is you could get a new clip, pull the seams and sew a new one on. Buckleguy and Weaver are my go to for hardware, but for just one if you have a Joann fabrics, Michael's, local they probably have something.

To preface I make my own belts so here are some things to consider. 4 inches shorter means that they most likely got rid if vanity sizing. I make a size 40 for a 36 inch waist. Thickness can vary throughout hides and perhaps when the order for the hide was placed a specific range of thickness was preferred. Those "rivets" are Chicago screws and they come in specific sizes. The reason you cant tighten them any more is because the belt is thinner and the same screw is used so therefore the screw is all the way in. If you want a go at making your own belt hit up a place like Buckleguy. The gashing you see is stretch marks. This means that the belt was most likely made from the belly of the hide and not the shoulders like I personally prefer. The belly is also stretchier and often times thinner.
