My belt got rubbed off after a short backpacking trip. What belt do you have that lasts?
Yeah, I am wearing Bullhide and have been very pleased at the quality and longevity.

Best value in full grain leather belts (USA)?
Looking at the thickness of the leather (measured in "ounces" which translates to 1 oz. equals 1/64" thick, so "12 oz. leather" is 12/64" thick, or 3/16"), belts of a particular thickness at Bullhide seem to be a little bit less expensive than the same thickness of belt at Hanks. Both companies use full grain leather (the best quality). Hanks uses a lot of roller-style buckles, which I would guess are easier on the leather because the leather rolls over the buckle as you tighten it rather than being bent/dragged across it. The best value I've found so far (looking at 8 high-end belt makers) in a 1.25" full grain leather casual belt is the stitched Commander belt from Bullhide, made from 12 oz. full grain leather with a stainless steel roller buckle for $72. However, I have NOT yet actually gotten a Hanks or Bullhide belt in my hands or around my waist. Time (and experience) will tell. Ask me 20 years from now.
