  Men's safety toe work boots

  No work boots are truly "for life." A couple of years instead of a couple of months is the best I've ever gotten out of work boots. I like Carolina brand, Bruno model, they last me about 2 years walking on sharp metal shavings.

  Best work boots that’ll last a while!?

  I bought a pair of Carolinas back in 2018 and they lasted me till 2024 after daily use. I loved them so much that I bought the exact same pair but it's barely been a year and I need to replace them already. I hope not, but Carolina might be suffering from enshitification.

  Buy American! Look for re-soulable boots with a goodyear welt. My work boot collection consists of Danner's, Thorogood's, and Carolina's. It is getting increasingly hard to find made in USA boots, but even my Redwing Lineman boots are like 15 years old and I just recently had them re-glued by a cobbler last year. I had a pair of Chippewa lineman boots that saved my left foot during a motorcycle accident, but when I tried to replace those boots, they are no longer made in the USA.

  Durable Trail/Walking Mid Boots

  Thank you for the information! To be honest, I wasn't even thinking about a pair of boots like this, but it really makes sense. I've been wearing a pair of Carolina logger boots for almost 5 years now and with a little oiling and care they do last. Prices are very reasonable too for the type of quality you get. A+ thank you!

  Comfortable work boots?

  In my experience, you need to be at the $250 mark, and that was 5 years ago, so $300 is probably more likely.  That said, my buddy loves his Georgia boots that were $190.  I personally love my US made Carolina boots. I have some Thorogood boots, but they are too narrow. If they fit, I'd like them a lot better. Thorogood and Red Wing are the starting point of quality boots from what most people say. I personally like my Carolinas, but they were only $15 or 20 cheaper than the Thorogoods.   Goodyear welts and as much leather as possible is key to BIFL. Also, unless you need it for comfort, wedge soles tend to wear out. The Thorogood and Keen soles are about the best from  what I hear, but a hard leather will last longer.

  I wear through shoes way faster than anybody I’ve ever heard of.

  I have a pair of Carolina Birch comp to which have the vibram lug sole. The are 12 days shy of 2 years old. I can stick my fingers into the boots because the stitching is tore everywhere but the vibram soles still look amazing

  Wolverine vs CAT work boots?!

  I had a pair of Wolverine epx boots. I got just about 1.5yr out of them and they were pretty comfy the whole time. Threw them out once the leather split open on the instep cuz my feet would get soaked as soon as the grass had dew. I wore them for wildlife field work: long hikes, rocky terrain, wet/muddy areas, snow, heat, you name it. I haven’t heard many good things about CAT from coworkers. Definitely just a company using their name to sell products they have no history in making. Carhartt footwear is along that same vein IMO. I’d buy another pair but decided to try a pair Carolina loggers out this time.
