Looking for a couch that is actually worth the money- why does it feel impossible?
I have a velvety couch from Castlery and love it!! I've had it for 4-5 yrs and it feels the same as the day I got it. Everyone that comes over comments on how comfortable it is. I paid 1800 for an L-shape sectional. I do wish that I could switch which side the L is on but I love the couch so much, I never want to get rid of it. You can wash the cushion covers which is a big help! And the chaise comes off very easily for moving but never detatches on its own.

If you like leather couches, I like mine from Castlery, was 3k. The best strategy is define your style and budget. Every brand has a different specialty.

Any experience with Castlery Furniture?
There hasn’t been any issues with the dining table. If you like the look of the set, I’d recommend buying the table and getting chairs somewhere else.

Couch Recommendations
My Castlery brand velvet couch can withstand cat scratching, and very minimal spills (eg cat stepped in my red sauce food and jumped onto couch). But nothing will be able to hold up with full cups of liquid spilling.
