  Caterpillar, I've had a set that I got at Costco four years ago and they're 9/10 condition. I wear them daily in work boots.

  What’s something you’ve bought once and never had to replace?

  CAT boots I bought in 1994 we t through to 2022 when I donated them to an Ukraine appeal. I hope someone is still wearing them and living a good life.

  What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?

  I have a pair of Caterpillar boots that are one of 2 pairs of shoes I wear in the winter and this is the 12th year of wearing them almost daily for 3 months. Best investment ever.

  Anyone know of work pants for curvy people that won't rip at the inner thigh?

  I wore two pairs of caterpillar jeans with extra layers of material that I got from big lots for $8 for quite a few years without having a problem like that. With most clothing I would rip the hell out of the inside of the thigh especially while riding my bicycle. Also check out Duluth. I think specifically they're called ballroom jeans. They definitely have extra room for your balls.

  Wolverine vs CAT work boots?!

  I had the CAT ones years ago. I worked at a dog daycare and I actually really liked them. Wore them everyday and I was walking around like crazy. I think I left them at my parents and they got rid of them during the move. Right now, I have DeWalt boots but only because they were on sale. They are okay, but I like the cat ones better because there are two speed loops for the laces. The ones I have no only have one and it’s hard to take on and off. Also, I posted a similar question about boots on here a few weeks ago. A lot of people mentioned a lot of different brands but a lot said wolverine.

  I don't buy work boots to last. Unless you're buying the type a cobbler can fix. That being said, I bought Cat five years ago and they're still going. Far better than the Redwing crap someone tried to sell me on.

  What brands do you trust to always deliver a high quality product?

  Vevor, oddly enough everything I've gotten from them has been solid. Knipex products have been great aswell, but generally too pricey for what they are. Dixxon makes solid flannels, but they're also just way too expensive for what they are. Anker makes pretty decent electronics, but they don't sell parts for any of the things I've grabbed. Next Level apparel makes pretty decent shirts (they hold up to battery acid, welding sparks, normal sparks, and general wear) Carthartt is still alright for pants, if you buy directly from the website. Otherwise, everything else I've found has been trash.  Timberland and brunt have proven pretty decent shoe wise. I really wanted to like wolverine, but I can't get their boots to last more than 5 months. Smith still makes decent helmets, but I prefer the petzl ones. They're fall protection equipment is also pretty solid. Benchmade for pocket knife, but victorinox makes very nice kitchen knives. (Their Swiss army knives are meh to be fair) Cat still makes half decent equipment, but their generators are garbage. Kohler generators are way better. Speaking of, kohler faucets are dogshit, but their toilets are still half decent.
