It really depends on what you're getting. I have excema and the only face moisturizer I've found that DOESN'T make my face burn is 45 bucks for less than 3 oz, CeraVe sells face moisturizer for 15 to 20 bucks for the same size. However, their body lotion is one of the more expensive lotions at the grocery store. But I'd MUCH rather use them and not get an excema flare up than use one of the cheaper lotions and be itching and bleeding all winter.

My friend worked for a competing pharmaceutical company’s marketing dept and went to all sorts of conferences with dermatologists. She said they all rec’d CeraVe over other, more expensive products and retinol was the only ingredient proven to reverse wrinkles (this was 7-10 yrs ago fyi).

I'm pretty sure Equate's skincare products are mostly just slightly older formulas of other products, mostly CeraVe and Cetaphil, that they've bought the rights to, so there's really no reason in buying brand name unless you absolutely need to

Cerave is very cheap if you are into ~skincare~. Unfortunately for our bank account, I am indeed into ~skincare~. Cerave is one of two drugstore brands of facial moisturizer I’ll use. The other is Olay. I actually don’t know if they’re decent at all, I just love how they feel on my skin and I’ve never had a sensitive skin reaction.

Cerave is cheap compared to what’s out there. Beyond a certain point it really doesn’t make a difference to your skin. The only thing beyond that point that will are actually physical treatments- lasers, microneedles, etc.

Both consumables but — Cerave lotion. I get itchy winter skin but most lotions either don’t help or make me feel icky. Cerave works and sinks it quickly. Dawn Powerwash. In addition to getting my dirtiest dishes clean, it also takes care of the stove, scuff marks on painted walls, mystery clothing stains.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
I will only buy “real” jewelry anymore. Brand doesn’t matter, but solid gold or silver, and real gemstones, not costume jewelry. I don’t have many pieces, but the ones I have are good quality, classic styles, and will definitely outlive me and be passed down (some of what I have has been passed down to me so it’s already lived a few generations). I buy good skincare products and wear sunscreen daily. I’m in my 40’s now and appreciate how important it is. I use Cerave, Olay, RMS Beauty, and Farmhouse Fresh products. Someone else mentioned a BaByliss hairdryer. I’ve had mine for probably 10 years and it shows no sign of stopping. I love it. We have stainless AllClad cookware, which was gifted to us as wedding gifts 17 years ago. I fully expect them to last for life. I’ve also splurged on solid wood furniture. Mostly vintage pieces. Though I don’t expect to buy anymore furniture anytime soon. And honestly, what we have was probably less expensive than, say, Ikea stuff and is better quality.

Best daily Moisturiser/moisturiser for men? [to use for life]
If you wanna use it for life, you’ve gotta figure out some essential things. Like what’s your skin type? Are you prone to a lot of dryness? Do you have facial hair you wanna take care of separately? This is all basic stuff but its really gonna narrow down the search. I mean if you have no idea what you need, then start out with something basic, like a do it all lotion. And please buy from men’s specific brands, our skin’s needs are honestly way different from women’s cos if the whole hormonal difference. I’d say Cera Ve’s a good general brand still if you’re looking to go value for money. In men’s I’d say look at Brickell. Also not super expensive for the ounces they give you in [their daily essential](https://econsumerproductreviews.com/dp-B078PRSTLW) but not the cheapest out there either. It has hyaluronic acid for hydration and a couple of good oils like jojoba and tea tree if you’re prone to zits or just have slightly sensitive skin. Its honestly a surprisingly not oily formula though. My advice, don’t wash your face in the mornings, make this a nightly routine and put it on before you sleep. It’ll really help lock in the moisture all night without being exposed to the sun. also, SPF daily please!

I kind of look at this like what things would I immediately repurchase if lost or destroyed (not including electronics) and the first that come to mind-- a yeti water bottle and a yeti mug for tea, Birkenstock Arizonas in either black or cognac, Duluth trading no yank tanks, Fantasie side support bras, classic short Uggs (great house shoes/slippers when it's cold.) I'll also never be without either a kindle or a kobo if I have a choice. I'm also stupidly loyal to cetaphil gentle face cleanser, cerave and vanicream moisturizers/lotions, and Aquaphor.

Not a man (not sure why men would have better recommendations? Everyone has a face) but my favorite facial moisturizer is the Ordinary natural moisturizer+ HA. HA stands for hyaluronic acid, and it's a great moisturizing ingredient. $14 and one of the best facial moisturizers I've tried in the past 20 years. CeraVe also makes good facial moisturizer, especially one with sunscreen. For the record, my husband uses both of these also.

Not a man but I would start with a dermatologist. My skin issue turned out to be a type of dandruff growing on my face and all the moisturizer in the world wasn’t going to fix it (but applying dandruff shampoo to my face sure does). My derm was also happy with me using Cerave and keeping the routines simple.

For a daily moisturizer, I think it’s important to find something that works well for your skin type without being too heavy or greasy. Personally, I’ve had good experiences with CeraVe’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It’s affordable, lightweight, and does a great job of keeping my skin hydrated without feeling too thick.
