Having trouble finding quality sneakers
I’m not a sneaker person but I know Cheaney sell trainers. They make very good quality shoes. https://www.cheaney.co.uk/men-c48/trainers-c108

Tired of shoes lasting 6-12 months. What to get?
Best shoes I’ve ever had are from Cheaneys. Have a number of pairs of shoes and boots. Alternate them etc and for a small fee they will re-sole them, repair etc and they come back like new. Also never had a “breaking in” period with them, comfortable straight out the box.

Boots of this style that aren’t made in China ?
I have a lovely pair of Cheaney Hurricanes. Well worth every penny. https://www.cheaney.co.uk/hurricane-ii-c-derby-boot-in-whiskey-kudu-leather-p1379/s16049?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=hurricane-ii-derby-boot-in-whiskey-kudu-leather-size-amp-fit-uk-6-5-size-fit-uk-6-5-f-average-103361f065&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&wid=1&cid=GBP&glCurrency=GBP&glCountry=GB&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADviTUfwnnLaFCfUtjAUUnWrKviDQ&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2N2_BhCAARIsAK4pEkWfzyLff2YHKG0tk7xSqHD79NKLhuTcdBScrWDvYadPmpffL3hQunsaAtTGEALw_wcB

Boots of this style that aren’t made in China ?
Head over to r/PNWbootmakers or r/goodyearwelt. Short answer, off the top of my head — U.S. -> Wesco, White’s, Drew’s, JK’s, Truman’s, Nick’s, Carter’s Boots, Oak Street, etc. (Wolverine and Red Wing are the lowest tier I’d go, personally, if they’re made in the U.S.) Canada -> Dayton, Canada West, Viberg Japan -> rolling dub trio, wheel robe, countless options UK / EU -> Tricker’s, Grenson, Cheaney, Crockett and Jones, Vass, Solovair, Iron Boots Australia -> R.M Williams, Redbacks

Anyone know of good quality, ok priced Oxford shoes? (UK)
For £150 you could opt for a used pair of ‘good’ shoes - maybe some Crockett & Jones or Trickers (or if you’re lucky John Lobb or Edward Green perhaps, but they tend to go for more). Trickers will last and last if that’s what you’re looking for. Sliding down the scale a little you’d definitely get some Barkers or Loake, maybe two or three pairs for your money. You’ll could also consider brands like Grenson and Cheaney, but in my experience they tend to be more fashion forward and less well made. If you want new - Charles Tyrwhitt sell their own brand Oxfords for £149 - their ‘Made in England’ line are made for them by Barker, their other lines are Loake.

Men's shoes Uk, which long lasting brands?
I love what Trickers are doing with their leathers right now. And Cheaney 12058 last fits me like a glove, and they had a lovely waxy commander this year.

Men's shoes Uk, which long lasting brands?
They are! Mostly different styles. Crockett and Jones is a lot more polished, Tricker’s signature is their chunky-ish country boot styles, and Cheaney is in the middle somewhat.

Men's shoes Uk, which long lasting brands?
They always slip my mind. I’d say trickers and Cheaney are at least on par with Crocket

Some weird suggestions so far! Cheaney and Trickers will be as much shoes as Church’s but half the price. Check out Herring Shoes. They stock most of the trad Northampton brands. Personally I’d avoid NPS and Dr Martins. I have some church’s and Edward Green shoes. They’re nice but there is better value elsewhere. My favourite are Cheaney.

A list of BIFL not made in the USA
The main range of Church shoes are still good aren't they? They are massively increased in price without any increase in quality though I suspect. Plus the issue that perhaps they also sell designer crap under the same brand. Cheaney shoes is the part of the company that was bought back by the family and make good quality Northampton shoes.

HNY with my BIFL boots; C&J Northcote! 👞🎉
Thank you, and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! 😊🎆 I don't post often, and this is my first post in this group, but most of what I buy is predominantly made to last, or have multi year usage (tech wise). I think fine shoes and boots that are made well, whether affordable or expensive, should be celebrated and cherished. Work boots and even select sneakers are a part of that too! There's a pair if badass Oak Tree boots I'm a huge fan of, the *[Trench Boot in Whitewash Overdye Abetone, Commando Sole](https://oakstreetbootmakers.com/trench-boot-whitewash-overdye-abetone-commando-sole)*, but limited/sold out (😭). Though I'm unsure if they work with what I wear, I think they are just badass! Maybe I'll add a pair to my collection if they come up again. Clarks and Timberland are ace choices too, which models do you have? I also like Cheaney & Sons too, but Crockett & Jones are my ultimate fav bootmakers for quality and price, with my aspirational favourites being Gaziano & Girling (UK), Yohei Fukuda (JP), and Siroeno Yosui (JP) (checkout there [YT channel](https://youtube.com/@ken_kataoka) for ASMR traditional Japanese shoemaking craftsmanship!).
