Manual Citrus Juicer recommendation
Even if it doesn’t last forever, the Chef’n is a really good tool. We make a lot of lemonade at home so it gets used 2-3 times a week and it for sure does a more thorough job than other manual juicers. Cleans up well too.

Manual Citrus Juicer recommendation
I also use the Chef’n. I have the lemon and the orange versions. They make a lime version but the lemon does everything the lime version can do and it works with larger fruit. The orange version is necessary for oranges and grapefruit and doesn’t work as well on smaller fruit. I have previously used pot metal juicers and broke several like in OP’s photo. I tried stainless versions which bent rather than broke to the point that you could not fully juice the fruit because the handle was bent enough to prevent closure of the two halves. I’m happy enough with the Chef’n that I’ll buy another if it ever breaks.

Manual Citrus Juicer recommendation
I have a beefy plastic one - the Chef’n FreshForce - that doesn’t warp or snap like the alloy and aluminum ones I’ve had previously. It has a neat gear/tooth hinge as well. The convex portion is stainless metal so the whole thing is real easy to keep clean.

Manual Citrus Juicer recommendation
We just purchased a Chef’n FreshForce juicer. We upgraded from a Hecho en Mexico pot metal one like yours and so far we like it. The majority of it is some sort of high density plastic but it feels really sturdy and has gotten more juice out of our fruits than any other handheld I’ve owned. It has the added bonus of some gearing that reduces the force necessary to squeeze the limes and lemons. Plus it’s $14, so worth a try.
