  #1 baby on the way. Which stroller would you recommend for a newborn that can ideally be used until age 3?

  We live in a walkable city. My husband and I share one car and rely on public transit a lot. When the weather is decent, we walk to and from daycare every day. 1. We bought a Mockingbird single to double stroller with a bassinet attachment and a car seat adapter. We also bought a Chicco Keyfit 360 car seat. I took my daughter for multiple 1+ hour walks every day in her bassinet when I was on maternity leave. Our daughter never loved her car seat, possibly because we only used it 1-2x a week, so we didn’t often use the car seat adapter. It was helpful to have though and I’m glad we bought one. 2. We traveled on a plane for the first time when she was 5 months old. We ended up buying a Mompush Lithe V2 travel stroller that had an almost flat recline option. It was inexpensive and much easier to travel with because it was lighter and fit more easily in the trunk of a car. 3. Our daughter is 18 months old. Now we use our Mockingbird as our neighborhood heavy duty walking stroller and keep the travel stroller in the trunk in case we need a stroller while we’re out. 4. I’m pregnant with our second and looking forward to converting the mockingbird into a double stroller.

  Chicco Bravo (we have Bravo 2). We’ve gate checked it in several flights, used it in sand, muddy roads, etc. It had dents and in the last flight had a pretty bad scratch but all’s good

  My brutally honest opinion after two kids is a wagon / car seat combo. Jeep makes a wagon and it has an infant car seat insert. I have the jeep Aries. I used my chicco jogger tre when I just had one child but as soon as number two came along the wagon has been the best option.

  I second this advice! We ended up getting a frame that was compatible with our infant car seat (Chicco key fit caddy), then a decent, lightweight umbrella stroller (summer infant). Both held up great for both kids, and I sold them when no longer needed. I think it’s definitely worth looking for second hand strollers! We did get a double stroller when #2 was born, but it was pretty heavy, and we didn’t end up using it as much as I anticipated. It worked out that our kids had enough of an age gap that we didn’t need one for the older child for terribly long anyway.

  A couple years into using the Chicco Corso and don't have many complaints - does well on most terrain, feels sturdy as hell, easy to pack up, and has been seamless to transition to the different modes as the kid grows. That's what we settled on after doing research, but ultimately a lot of the differences once you get into the higher end brands/models are mostly personal preference, so definitely go to a store and check some out. Most people will suggest the one they have if they like it without having any experience using other brands, so getting recs for something like this can be a bit of crapshoot. Could also base the decision off what car seat system (if applicable) you want to use if you want to stay in the same ecosystem and use a carseat attachment for the first 6-9 months. That was one of the main drivers for why we ended up with Chicco, was the carseat bases made it really easy and reliable.
