What have you used the most at home these two years?
Espresso machine, ninja air fryer oven, electric kettle, all clad pots and pans, temperature probe, pyrex everything, stand mixer(+juicer/veg strainer), cheese grater (worth getting a lever or mixer attachment, freshly grated is better by miles), Sebo vacuum, Chromecast, fitness watch.

What purchase made you smile more often, maybe without meaning to?
That's true and I do! I was pleasantly surprised to see that feature on my chromecast. I set it up so now when I want, I can have a large screen on slideshows. It does work great.

Every year I think about replacing my 2011 Samsung TV but it’s still going strong. The design and picture quality has held up. I’m sure the new TVs would blow mine out of the water side by side, however, everyone is shocked when I tell them how old it is.
SOLIDARITY. Paid over $1000 for my 40” Samsung back in 2007. The audio cuts out on the HDMI now and then, but turning it on and off again brings it back. I could always get a sound bar if I really wanted to. I’ll be taking this television to the grave. Paired with a Chromecast, she’s good to go. Nevermind I’m never tempted to pay for 4K streaming services ✌️

Buying a decent TV in 2025
Pihole is a personal DNS server. Eli5 is imagine that you are scrolling Instagram and ad pops up. Ad comes from a _annoyingadservice.com_ site and insta would request ad from thwre. If your router's DNS is set to a pihole and pihole knows this site, it would block connection to it and ad would not show up. Another example: telemetry. TV uses tons of telemetry to report what you watch, what apps you use and what channels are your favorites. It then reports let's say to a _telemetry.hisense.com_. You have pihole set to block any calls to hisense.com. TV can't reach any hisense servers hence can't unload gathered information. As of TV boxes. I got Chromecast. Weirdly enough it wouldn't let me cast YouTube if I disable internet for u6* in my router settings. I don't know why and therefore rely on pihole.
