Shoe recommendations?
This is the way - once you go welted you never go back. Look into something like Red Wing Iron Rangers or Doc Martens for life if you want boots, or check out some proper English makers like Trickers or Churchs. Yeah the upfront cost stings but when you can resole them 3-4 times over their lifetime it's actually way cheaper than burning through cheap shoes every 6 months

Men's shoes Uk, which long lasting brands?
You're in the UK so you're lucky enough to have shoemakers all around you. Biggest questions for you are what style you want and how much you're willing to spend. [NPS/Solovair](https://uk.nps-solovair.com/) (made in Northampton) have a wide selection of decently priced boots and shoes of varying styles. Some of their shoes even use high-quality Dainite soles made near Leicester. Then you've got luxury brands like [Church's](https://www.church-footwear.com/gb/en.html) \- the shoes James Bond wore. [Loake ](https://www.loake.com/)have been around for over 100 years and have a reputation for quality.

Men's shoes Uk, which long lasting brands?
Churches. They’re not cheap but can be repaired forever. They are formal shoes, not boots. So Oxford brogues type of thing. I have a pair of John White Chelsea boots that have been resolled (I’m spelling that wrong I know) numerous times. Do consider the Chelsea boot over the shoe. Whites are online, good service in my experience.
