  What Qualities do High-End T-Shirts Have?

  There are hundreds of different levels of T-shirt quality. I was tasked at one point with ordering company T-shirts. I asked the T-shirt shop, "I want a high quality T-shirt that is comfortable and will last like my 2 favorite T-shirts that are hanging in my closet, how do I order those?" They asked me to take a photo of the tags in those T-shirts and send it to them. One of my T-shirts was \~20 years old and the other was \~12 years old. They had become like friends and I wore them around the house when doing chores. They were both from the same manufacturer and the same model T-shirts! I ordered those for the company T-shirts and they are awesome! I have ordered them several times since then. The T-shirts are made with 100% ring spun USA cotton and USA cotton thread.   Probably where you are buying them? I have bought concert t-shirts and some Life Is Good recently and they are holding up great. No collar issues! I believe the concert ones have mostly been Gildan and Comfort colors.

  Check out jiffy.com. You can buy high quality blank shirts at wholesale rates without any printing. Bella canvas has some really nice ring spun undershirts and comfort colors pocket tees are a great midweight casual tee. Both are around $8-11 per shirt and come in like 60 colors.

  Comfort colors is a thick 100% cotton tee for long-term durability. You gotta earn the buttery softness over the first 10 wears though. For softness out of the box Uniqlo supima. But they're not as durable

  Garment washed cotton is pretty good fabric, comfort colors makes it among others. They are like an OEM where many shirts have printed designs but use their shirt as the base (think jerzee, gildan, etc), so you may find it in odd places like souvenir shops.

  Lifelong Basics: Bound-Collar Cotton Tees

  I like Shaka Wear T shirts for thick and heavy plain Ts, Hanes beefy Ts are good too, I mostly wear Carhartt Pocket Ts When going out but keep the plain Ts. I do Have a Comfort colors shirt, its lighter and softer than the above Ts. I also hear good Things about AS Colour, LA Apparel, and Rue Porter. I would never spend over $30 for a single basic tee, so these are some I found that work for me.

  I rly like comfort colors for T-shirts and stuff. That’s what I had for my sorority. They’re pretty cheap and super thick and cotton.

  I just bought the Comfort Colors tshirt recommended by Wirecutter in two sizes (I'm between sizes for most brands). The XL was boxy and super long, so I wasn't expecting much from the L. But then the L showed up and it was damn near perfect. Not too long. Nice cut. We'll see how it wears over time, but it might become my new go-to as I wear out my old ones. BTW: I only wear plain black tshirts. My old go-tos were Target Goodfellow brand and Hanes, but they both have their faults. I also had a few Allbirds Merino tshirts, which I liked, but their necks stretched out really quickly.

  Places to buy good quality crewnecks t-shirts with tight necklines?

  Uniqlo is my suggestion. Their shirts have a bound collar, so they're not going to stretch or crinkle. I've been doing some t-shirt reviews on Youtube and they've been the best so far. They're currently what I stock up on. My other recommendations are the Costco Kirkland Signature, Comfort Colors C1717, or the Next Level 6210 (if you're okay with a cotton/poly blend).
