Having trouble finding quality sneakers
I recommend looking on second hand website like eBay and Grailed and the real real, I highly recommend getting the common project Achilles, they’re very high quality leather sleek Low legible sneaker. My dad has a pair and they’d be mine if they were my size They were so popular back in 2012 or so and you can get them for crazy steals just a quick search on Grailed showed common sizes for as low as 90 dollars

Also try searching "German Army Trainers" or "court shoe alternatives" - you'll find brands like Reproduction of Found, Shoes Like Pottery, etc. What's your budget? What's everyone's go-to sneaker?
shop by material and not so much by brand. anything leather top and thick rubber bottom and only then filter out for comfort. most my shoes are new balance for comfort but i learned something about durability. beside my leather common projects and leather converse, everyone of my new balances with have fallen apart at the sole, esp the encap soles, and the upper suede is not easy to maintain when wet. look up anvil rose on youtube to learn about materials. he cuts shoes in half and rates them. i think he is wrong about the durability of new balances though at least for me who lives in the tropics with many pairs of them that have fallen apart of hard to maintain. for sandals, leather birks are without a doubt bifl.

I’m not sure about y’all but good pair of shoes/sneakers.
Goral, common projects and nicks boots, Wesco, and whites. One pair of new balance 1080's, 990 v6, and pair of Birkenstocks. These pretty much consist of all I wear.

Looking for Shoe recommendations!
I’ve had common projects for 6 years and they look brand new. They’re all leather so once you break them in, they’ll fit really nicely. It’s a flat shoe though in case if you’re looking for ankle support. I don’t really run but I really liked my adidas ultraboosts. My mom still wears my pair from like 6 years ago too.

Just coming back to update on my research. I went with common projects as newer koios have dropped in quality charging the more for less (no margom sole, more branding, and a different insole.) also I didn’t need veg tanned leather anyway so I couldn’t justify em.

Yea I looked into them but everything they do the becket simonons do better at the same price from what I saw. I ended up going with some good looking used common projects since they’re built in a way to be resoleable, found a pair in good condition that was open to offers and snagged em for $75
