  I'd just get the safe bet and see how it does you :) There's plenty of options for prioritizing size, capacity, throwiness at a reasonable price later. I would get a nice little baseline, as I did myself. Theres just too many options and you'll end up confused otherwise. I gave my original (my first light was an FC11) away. Food for thought, girls are scared of the dark, I'd be surprised if she didn't want to have a nice bright little guy hanging around in her purse if you decided you wanted something else. I actually bought a girl a flashlight like, a week ago. Also, what do you think about headlamps? I recommend something like 4000K. Neutral, leaning towards a pinch warm. I prefer warm 2700K like a bedside lamp myself, instead of 6500K like an LED headlight. 4000K is a neutral safe bet. PS, note that turning the tailcap a quarter turn prevents it from turning on in your pocket if the side switch gets bumped by something. My personal favorite has the tail switch on the back so it doesn't go off in your pocket (Convoy S2+, $20) but no battery indicator, charger or magnet. Or anything else. I just like the tiny size and warm beam.

  magnet and usb c on that bad boy, she won't throw like anything crazy but she has that classic orange peel (typical flashlight style) so she'll reach a surprising ways on turbo. It's one of those lights that don't really have a downside and should put out plenty of light unless you're trying to see stuff clearly 50 meters away for an extended period of time. If you're willing to pay some money, Acebeam L35 ($115) . I don't think it has usb C but a charger is like $10 and is safer anyway, assuming you get a decent one. The L19 ($100?) is the throwy option. The L35 is more of a ranged flooder, so it reaches out a bit and spreads out like a cone. More useful in general unless you need to see a mile out (realistic range is maybe a quarter mile). If you're willing to grab a charger as well, I would grab a convoy C8+ for $20. It has no features at all (not even a battery display), but it has the power, the throwiness, the size and the price tag ($25~). My personal recommendation is to cheap out a little bit. The FC11 is 1300 lumens on turbo which will shit on your coworkers' AA lights. Can you estimate how much range you need on the light? How important is a battery display? How long do you need the light straight? Medium-high power, multiple hours? Or low with occasional bursts of turbo?
