Let’s Talk Wirecutter: What Was Worth It and What Wasn’t?
Levi’s wedgie jeans. Ugg Adirondack III winter boots — only I got them from eBay for less than half price. Coop pillows - several years ago.

Let’s Talk Wirecutter: What Was Worth It and What Wasn’t?
My total hits are mostly around sleeping! I love my Feathered Friends duvet for my bed and down throws (20% off when I bought the returned and laundered ones) for my couches! Love love love. Linen sheets from Bella Notte (got seconds and thirds so I could afford them). The coop pillows I love are ones I found due to wirecutter. I found and fell in love with the La Ligne lean lines cashmere sweater this September and October. I bought several second hand on Poshmark. Then Wirecutter listed it as the number one cashmere sweater. Now it’s harder to find them at reasonable second hand prices. Other things that wirecutter has helped with are my hand held steamer, fabric shaver, window air conditioner, air purifier, and other appliances.

Best damn body pillow?
Coop.

What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?
I’m going to second the Coop. Buy the more expensive one. It’s worth the additional money because it lasts a lot longer. The cheaper ones seem to clump. Don’t get the cooling one - mine was awful. I also risked the cooling sheets and they’re so slippery, they fall off the bed in the middle of the night.

Coop, Casper, Purple pillows etc...what's the best pillow out there?
Although with all included bag refill refilled into my Coop latex it's great to have that amazing fast and deep sleep, delta waves level with the amazing Coop latex I've never experienced (I use a solid Dunlop latex mattress which is like carrying a heavy adult- my setup is all latex- latex is king expensive at first , but a bad sleep is more expensive if affects health and driving safety), if you lift the pillow and pillows with this cool refillable design especially like the amazing Coop Latex (natural real latex is king of kings when comes bedding, mattresses or pillows, Talalay or Dunlop latex, shredded or solid) and force all the latex on one side (force within reason not enough to damage it), for the king size, the space left could be the indicator how much is needed for a super firm Coop latex I think perhaps 4 to more bags will make it extra firm which I like (it'll be even more an expensive with refills but sleep is very important but trial and error is the only way really adding more until it's close to perfect for your body tyoe and sleep style (I have broads shoulders combo sleeper side sleeping way more on the left than sleep on the back). But it's a trial and error with something subjective as comfort for different people, good thing Coop has a long refund/trial period.

Coop, Casper, Purple pillows etc...what's the best pillow out there?
Hi, is the dryer method better or the same with proper manual hand pluffing which is a good daily to help with waking you up (say one is a bit lazy or tired to bring a the amazing king size Coop latex which has a bit of heft to it, all the way to the dryer which may or may not be a little wet or no clothes in it)?

Buckwheat/millet pillow pros/cons?
Had those, pillow fills, you'll regret buying them- lifting it (deforms like a sack of sand but lighter, noisy as you move about coz' it's next your ear), had beddings of: Down with real feather, sythetic foam:soft, medium firm, memory foam, real latex is king, nothing beats a latex mattress and latex pillow meant for your sleeping style (I'm a combo back and side sleeper but more of left side side sleeper). I'm love very firm latex mattresses (dunlop latex is what I use) and very firm latex pillow. They are more expensive but sleep is a long term thing, it's worth the expense for health which is more valuable than any pillow or mattress expense (expensive for the right reasons). High loft (the height) 8in and I plan to make it even higher making it firmer by adding more shredded latex for my amazing Coop Latex Pillow is for me (it'll be very expensive even be more, not that the other top brands are that cheap with added refill/s but sleep is a very long term thing as mentioned, latex has amazing durability against deforming), latex's bouncing right away aka adjust to you right away is the best (time is gold, the shorter the wait to adjust the better especially when sleep is in the deepest sleep state the when the brain is at delta frequency). Expensive but very important things, a year of installments made things affordable. The best and time-efficient is finding a mall or store which has all the brands that offer different latex firmness that you can try and has amazing trial period and return policy.

Coop Sleep Goods Pillow Comparison: Eden, Cool+, and Shredded Latex
Thank you so much for this write-up! I just pulled the trigger on my first co-op pillow and got the Eden, but was having buyers remorse and wondering if I should have gone for latex. I am upgrading from some garbage pillow so sounds like Eden will probably be fine for me. Thanks!

Best sleeping pillow for people with long necks and bad posture?
You either get a shredded memory foam pillow like the coop. With it, you control exactly the height and firmness. Or you get yourself a 100% natural Latex pillow. Stay away from single block foam pillows. They never last.

Maybe not a literal buy-it-for-life item, but I’m curious: what’s the best pillow you ever bought?
Ive been a side sleeper forever and always struggled with neck pain, but honestly this[ ](https://glowglyph767.github.io/website/coop-crescent-pillow.html)[solid breakdown](https://glowglyph767.github.io/website/coop-crescent-pillow.html) on medium firmness really cleared up how to get that perfect suport without feeling too stiff.

Help me find a new pillow
Agree here. I like both the crescent and cut out. (And liked the original just fine before those came out.) Also bought the throw pillows, body pillow, and mattress topper over last several years. OP if you see this, Coop has frequent sales. Sign up for their mailing list.

I I bought coop pilllows that are built from latex and I love it more than any pillow I’ve ever had. It stays cooler than most pillows and doesn’t seem to be deforming on me so far.

Coop Home Goods Eden, Eden Cool+, Eden Cool+ Crescent Pillows - Triple comparison!
Hi, how are the pillows working out still? I wanted to ask- is your biggest motivator for your choice being about the cooling aspect? I don’t mean to be rude if it’s coming across that way, that’s how I’m interpreting the final piece of your post. My partner is a side and back sleeper, but I don’t think the coolness aspect is going to be a factor, so I was just wanting to know what you’d recommend between the two pillows for someone who is a back/side sleeper.

Got the Coop Cool + Adjustable Pillow because of this Sub.
I think the Cool + may have spandex in it, but they have a latex one specifically on their site, so probably a little different, but I think all of them are probably going to be super solid.

Pillow Suggestions Wanted
You will get lots of people recommending buckwheat pillows. I tried several of them and couldn't get over the noise of the crunch and the sensation of sleeping against a brick wall. Coop has the best pillows I've found. They use crushed memory foam filler so firmness can be adjusted to taste.

Do you think BIFL is actually cost effective?
For me, it comes down warranty and reputation of the company. Areas I have invested in: \- F&T Wax trucker jacket - last you a life time and then some. \- Kanto speaker system for computer. I switched out already 3 cheapy speakers within 5 years. I know this one will last me as long as I can take care of them. \- Computer desk from Flexispot this thing wont collapse on itself. (I have seen desks do that) \- Bombas underwear/socks - I wouldnt call them BIFL but buy them to be comfortable for X amount of years. Sure I can buy 300 shitty socks and underwear that would last me my life time. Knowing every day my ass and feet will be uncomfortable is not something I am okay with. The underwear is pretty good and creates a nice visual presentation. The socks no comparing to any other socks. \- Travel pro carry on suit case - I travel alot and having a suit case where it can hold 10-15lb backpack on top without tipping over is a major plus for me. \- Seiko or Orient watches or traditional watches in general - I personally think every man needs an actual watch. Smart watches are cool I own one. They are obsolete within a few years and materials are subpar for price. You pair a nice watch with your outfit I guarantee people will notice. In addition, watches are miniature art pieces. Coop sleep pillow - Best pillow I ever owned and since I have to sleep every night it is a no brainer. Overall, I dont think everything is BIFL I think somethings should be buy because its good quality and comfortable. Sure I can spam buy socks, pillows, or buy the subpar suit case. At the end of the day those things will still work. I tell you this my feet are comfortable. My sleep is set up for maximum quality. My travel journeys wont be as frustrating knowing whether my suitcase will get checked or fall flat forward when you have to take a shit at the airport.

Firm/extra firm pillows
Big fan of the Coop Pillows on Amazon. I added all the additional stuffing. And they hold up well, soft but supportive for a side sleeper, and adjustable fill. I haven’t had them get lumpy but they can benefit from a toss in the dryer to fluff them a bit if you need it. I’ve done it maybe twice in the 6 years I’ve had them.
