I have a $100 REI Gift Card. Should I get Darn Tough socks or Maui Jim sunglasses?
Longevity ? Maybe well in the past. Lens quality is still there, but the frames are no different than 40 dollar glasses IME. Costa also has excellent lenses. People rave about Oakley lenses too but I've never really "seen it" when I try them on in stores, but have also never owned Oakleys. I think one of the things you need to ask yourself before buying 200 dollars glasses is if you actually need them like spending a lot of time on water or snow.

What’s the best sunglass brand to bifl? I’m not even sure if there’s any with a very durable design
I've had really good luck with my Costa sunglasses with glass lenses. I've had them for like 7 years now and I really like them.

What’s the best sunglass brand to bifl? I’m not even sure if there’s any with a very durable design
Once upon a time I would have said Costa. Because their repair shop worked super well. And their hardened glass lenses NEVER scratch. But idk if they’re still BIL. The pair I’m rocking is 10 years old at least. But I got a second pair a while ago and while the lenses are great, the frame was absolute garbage. Stretched fell apart and broke over a summer or two

For pure sunlight blocking, sure. But Maui Jim, Costa, Serengetti etc lens quality blows cheap sunglasses out of the water. How crisp and colorful the world looks with a good pair of lenses is worth the money 10x over

High quality polarized glass lens sunglasses?
Maui Jim. Costas. Lived on the beach for 25 years and those are all we wear. Decent repair programs for both of them. Re-lens is an option.

Any suggestions for high-quality polarized sunglasses that don’t have a huge markup just because of the brand?
Costa is expensive but for a good reason. Quality. I got mine on 1800 contacts for 50% off.

Unfortunately, they got swallowed up by Luxottica but Costa still makes some with glass lenses.

Buy it for life sunglasses?
Costa or Serengeti. My Serengeti's were made in Japan, and they are such a joy to wear.

Buy it for life sunglasses?
I love Costa’s. Great warranty and amazing cs in my experience. Literally ran a pair over with my 4 wheeler out ice fishing and they gave me a huge discount to replace them.

Sunglasses - Polarised with glass/scratch resistant lenses?
Another vote for Costa.

Sunglasses - Polarised with glass/scratch resistant lenses?
Maui Jim or Costa is all we’ve worn for like the last 20 years. Mostly the glass lenses. I wear my sunglasses every single day, husband, too. Like every day. Our pairs have held up well. We have sent one or two in for lens replacement over the years and that process has always gone smoothly.
