  For bifl shoes you’re looking at replaceable soles and higher quality leather construction. Stuff like crown Northampton. Very expensive. Not really a money saver as repairs are also expensive.

  What's everyone's go-to sneaker?

  the sneakers i'll suggest won't be cheap but they're designed to be resoled. look up koio, becket simonon, oliver cabell, goral, crown northhampton they're expensive but they're the best ones. if you want something cheaper that's more or less like those but on the budget, thursday boots has sneakers like those. but they're not on par with the ones above mentioned. they're great value for what they are tho. repairable. the leather quality isn't quite on par, except for limited editions and the waxed cacao. i've forgotten some other brands to mention but the ones i remembered are the best ones. these are more of a lifestyle / fashion sneaker designed to be resoled and not athletic type sneakers.

  Anyone found brands doing real quality without retail bloat?

  Are you just looking for less expensive? I guess maybe Bronson. They make pretty high quality and only sell through their website direct to customers. There are a lot that have a high price, but it is due to being outstanding quality and not because of PR or middlemen. Companies like Dehen (knitwear and jackets) and or Crown Northampton (shoes) would fall into these categories.

  Rubber wears out. Find something resolable but they are generally more expensive. Crown North Hampton and Goral are 2 brands that come to mind

  Help finding total foot comfort shoes or boots.

  I have a badly superpronated ankle that I also dropped a motorcycle on when I was in my early twenties. My footwear for when I will be walking on day is a pair of Viberg whole cut boots. Each boot is made of a single piece of leather and the only seams are where they come together in the back. It is amazing how much difference the whole cut is for me feet. I have it in EE width (I don't remember the last they used) and my padding is a thicker pair of socks. If you want more of a tennis shoe, Crown Northampton makes a whole cut shoe.

The latter a few slip on options. My feet sweat too, and I have a pair of leather moccasins (different brand) I wear without socks, and it's not bad. The feel of a good leather lining kind of balances out the feel of sweatiness. Over all I prefer wearing socks, but it's not bad.
