#1 baby on the way. Which stroller would you recommend for a newborn that can ideally be used until age 3?
For my oldest two kids I used the Baby Jogger City Mini. Used that thing all the time for about 6 years. It was a great stroller. For my youngest I used a Cybex stroller. Not sure the exact model, but it was very similar in size, shape, and functionality to the City Mini. I would recommend them both. I never got or felt the need to buy the bassinet attachments. I just used the infant seat with it when they were really little.

If you don’t plan on having more than one, I had the YOYO zen stroller for 2 years with my first before needing a double. I LOVED that stroller and still miss it. So lightweight and easy to use. Has a bassinet attachment. Works with car seat adapters for most car seats. For a double I got the Cybex gazelle and also love it. It’s a lot heavier and bulkier but I think any double would be. It’s cheaper than the Uppa Vista and I liked the configurations better.

I'm going to buck the system and recommend against the infant seat. Just get a stroller with a bassinet or baby wear because you can only use those infant seats for 6-8 months and they cost the same or more as a convertible, and they're not supposed to be in them for more than 2 hours. I'm about to be 3 kids in and we've never used one. My friend has 3 kids and never used one. Get a good infant carrier and a stroller that allows a complete recline. I love the Cybex Gazelle S that I bought when we found out we were surprise expecting baby 3, but before that I bought a used Maxi Cosi who's seat converts from bassinet to a toddler seat and I love it.

We also bought a bugaboo and lucked out tha it was a practically new second hand one. It was so sturdy and took such a beating. That being said, I kind of wish we had gotten a cybex. It would have fit with our car seat which also reclined enough for it to not be dangerous to leave a bay in it for a short shopping trip. One of the biggest things we looked at were the wheels. We have lots of cobblestones where we are so they had to be big. People with small wheels get stuck all the time.

This! This is why I chose the Cybex Gazelle S which has been a dream! It has various adaptors, and fit my Britax Willow car seat. If I were you, I'd ensure that the infant seat you choose fits the stroller you are looking at. I'm also on the petite side, and found the Uppababy to be massive and clunky. Don't get me wrong, its a beautiful stroller, but it was too much for me. Plus, I didn't like the bar in the middle of the basket.
