Grind and brew coffee maker.
I’ve been using the De’Longhi true brew for a month now. I can’t say whether it’s BIFL but I’ve been generally pleased with the results so far.

Little luxuries or upgrades that you made this year that makes your everyday better?
Ooh sorry I'm Australian! That might be why. I got the Delonghi [Argento Flora](https://www.delonghi.com/en-gb/e/inspiration/collections/argento-flora) set. No joke, I got it from Aldi. I couldn't believe it because the set was cheaper than buying them separately at an actual appliance store or online.

Little luxuries or upgrades that you made this year that makes your everyday better?
I spent a lot of money on a Delonghi kettle and toaster combo after always owning Kmart ones. You can buy a $100 Kmart kettle and it will never come close to the durability, or more so, PERFORMANCEEE 🗣️, of a $200+ Delonghi one. Quickest kettle boil ever and defrosts my toast within minutes. I'm almost 30 and I'm just really passionate about these appliances lol. Buy that shit for life.

Good affordable espresso makers
Delonghi Magnifica. I bought one 14 years ago and it’s still pumping out espresso every morning. Fully automatic.

you could do far worse than a delonghi stilosa. Has a small stainless steel boiler, heats up fast. Get a bottomless portafilter , you can get this for about $150, it’s regularly under 100. In the end it’s a kettle with a thermostat with a pump and this has all that. Are there better machines out there of course but it’s really good fir what you pay

Disagree.De'Longhi machines (they have a couple 15 bar pressure machines) thatlast a long long time, ask the owners and they float around on sale at $180 to $250 but yes we're in agreement about De'Longhi. it's not something you're firing up 30 times a day---if you are well speed away!!!

Good affordable espresso makers
I have a Braun E40 Espresso Machine that's marvellous. I got it in the 1990s. You can find these on Ebay, other places. Simple to use, easy to service, has a milk frother (steamed). It works by creating steam pressure to heat the water and force it through the coffee. From an espresso afficianado stand point, it doesn't generate "9 bars " of pressure, it generates 1.5 bars. From the standpoint of using good Espresso Roast, Italian Roast, or French Roast beans and delivering an eye opening cup--YES! In your price range I'd look at the De'Longhi machines --some delivering 15 bar pressure which is marvellous and in the $200 range. If I had to replace mine this where I'd go.

I had my $100 delohngi for like 10 years so I can definitely recommend that brand. They have a pretty wide price range The only reason I got rid of it is because I've got a small kitchen and my SO prefers to make coffee by the pot. I got an aero press so I can still have an occasional espresso.

I find Delonghi ec155's at thrift stores for about $5, run vinegar through them, and use them till they need repair. You can get cheap parts at [eparts.com](http://eparts.com) and it's usually a filter or something simple. I've got five that work in the garage so I can take one camping, on vacation, to the kid's houses, etc. If you break down the portafilter and pressurized basket and clean them they work for years.

Any reason to buy a DeLonghi Radiator heater over cheaper Amazon Basics or Pelonis?
I have 2 delonghi radiator heaters that are both going on 20 years. They work just like they did day 1. Very high quality, the best in my opinion. The only problem I've ever had, 1 wheel fell off, easy fix. Those other brands, be prepared to replace them every couple years..

Grind and brew coffee maker.
I bought [this De'Longhi superautomatic](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DG4BCHK8) over the summer on a Prime Day sale and have been extremely happy with it so far. Our previous was a Jura Capresso which was also great but after 12ish years it was getting too expensive to repair/maintain. Can't say for sure on quality yet since I've only had it ~6mos but so far it makes outstanding coffee at the touch of a button. Reviews are also very positive.

They work! That’s what makes them different. They have an eco mode that they will work on. I have 3 of them for years now. One hears my ex wife’s house. I keep one upstairs & one downstairs. Heat temp set to 82 eco mode use it on 2/3 bars.

I have two that have both been in service for 5ish years at this point. Very happy with them. Both Delonghi brand

Do oil filled heaters last longer than cheaper fan heaters?
Yeah they last a long time. I also got a Delonghi flat panel heater a few years ago that keeps my home office warm all winter and it combines the fast heat up of the fan heaters with the quietness and non-moving parts of the oil heater.

I got the delonghi kg79 originally and it doesn't do universal sized grinds but it didn't clog and is still working. It was only £40. Maybe that could work for you?

BIFL Request - Oil filled space heater
Oil filled radiators should typically last years cuz they’re pretty low maintenance once sealed properly. So the issue could be in the weld quality of your radiator cuz generally only that leads to leaks. Youre also not supposed to place them near furniture or cover them with anything, causes a lot of heat problems. Anyways like maybe 50 people here have already said delonghi is the go to due to the metal build and honestly for what it performs imo it isnt even that expensive. Pelonis is pretty decent too, especially their newer models with the updated safety features n all but they are a bit more apartment heater types so depends on how much area youre wanting to cover. Honestly just go for any non budget brand(those are super low quality) and you should be fine, [this list](https://lampasul.github.io/link-redirector/?to=filb) has a couple other similar options too so you can take reference.

Best type of heater for a small room?
Which Delonghi model do you recommend or are they all the same? I have been comparing them in this [heater comparison sheet](https://www.reddit.com/user/appropriate_lizard09/comments/1nnhd4n/comparing_the_best_heaters_on_the_market/) from the heaters sub but I am unsure if its worth spending more or the cheaper models are enough.

Single serve coffee makers for the low motivated
I have a Delonghi Magnifica and while not a pod based machine it is single serve and makes amazing drinks. Fill the hopper with beans and a carafe with milk from there it’s just pressing a button. Love it!

Looking for a coffee machine that lasts forever
My father uses a Delonghi ECAM22.360.S automatic bean to cup machine. It's currently on 36170 coffees after around 8.5 years of use. Whilst it's not been fault free, I have been able to keep it running as spares availability has been good. Every couple of years it'll need new O rings for the infuser for example. The motor drive also went but it was replaced. If you're someone who is quite technically minded it'll probably be alright but by its inherent design it'll always have more to go wrong as it's a fully automatic machine. I'd have him use a simple drip machine if I could but he prefers the bean to cup espresso stuff.

I've been using the same De'longhi icona vintage for almost 10 years. Perfect balance of machine doing the work with you doing the controls.

Best type of heater for a small room?
I looked up the Mi Smart Space Heater S too, and honestly it just feels a little too good to be true. I still can’t find any solid reviews on it even a year later, which makes me hesitate. Thanks to some of the other comments in this sub though, I ended up going with an oil-filled model instead. They seem to do a better job of spreading and maintaining heat without the noise. I found a great [comparison sheet with all the different heater models](https://www.reddit.com/user/appropriate_lizard09/comments/1nnhd4n/comparing_the_best_heaters_on_the_market/), and after going through that I just ordered a DeLonghi. Hoping it’s the right move for a smaller room like yours too!

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
I'm afraid to say because idk if it's very BIFL yet, but if you consider it only cost around $100 (on sale) and has lasted me 2 years without issue.. One of the cheapest De'Longhi you can get. There's nothing at all fancy, there are no buttons just a knob in the front that you turn to start it and manually stop it. Something about the sheer simplicity of it makes me think it's going to last a very long time, but who's to really say.

We have a DeLonghi which is over 15 year old. It’s a portable unit with a large capacity tray or hose connector. The things been a workforce and I’ve never done any maintenance on it at all. https://www.delonghi.com/en-gb/products/air-comfort/air-treatment/dehumidifiers/c/dehumidifiers

I've had a delonghi oil radiator for years. Powered by industry-leading technology, the 1500-watt TRD40615T De’Longhi radiant heater features an easy-to-use control panel and programmable 24-hour timer. > turn the heat up you can get a programmable thermostat to do the same thing.

Looking for espresso machine
u/Misericordee Delonghi is overpriced. Basically, the factories that make machines for Delonghi decided to go off and do their own and you have a ton of cheap machine on Amazon that are really good. My recommendation is to buy the Walmart $300 (down to $250 on sale) machine. Build in grinder and really good espresso machine..

Looking for espresso machine
Delonghi ESAM 3300 - superautomatic. What I've seen described by espresso machine repair people as "a workhorse". I add beans, water and remove the grounds. I do an overall machine clean ever other month or so. I do not use the milk steamer/foamer - I don't want to worry about cleaning it so I got a $6 foamer if my kids want a steamer. I heat the milk for the kids in the microwave then add the espresso and foam it up for the kids. My parents have had theirs for 10+ years at their vacation home, 14+ years at their home and I've had mine for 7 years. Mine gives me 4 shots (but I've been up to 16) per day, MIL 6 shots, daughter 2 shots then know that they can help themselves - which they do. It does what its supposed to do and gives me my daily espresso since Feb 2018. No issues. I buy my beans at Costco so I'm less than $.03 per shot of espresso.

Looking for espresso machine
We have the Delonghi Dinamica, have had for 3 years now. But in beans and water, push button, get espresso. Also makes regular and iced coffee and some versions do automatic steamed milk (we just have a steam wand on ours). It’s was about $800 but got on sale at around $600. They’re a sister company to Braun and have excellent customer support.

Are Breville toaster ovens worth it? I found one nearly at half pric e
I've owned two and the there's been nothing but problems with both. Compared to a cheap as shot pressure tank delonghi that's literally bombproof. The problems start with the portafilter and the fake crema thing that gets clogged and then the pump goes and the whole thing just sprays wet coffee grounds everywhere

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
I'm gonna get burned by the espresso aficionados, but I've had good luck with Nespresso Latissima by De'longhi. Out first one is like 10 years old and I took to my office after upgrading, where it gets a ton of use. Never had a problem with it, but have had to replace the milk further once. The machine itself only needs an occasional descaling.

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
Best handheld milk frother? A single portion French press + my microwave. If you are looking to go for a espresso machine anyway, just add frother to your list of requirements. Delonghi is what we have at the moment, but our version requires a separate grinder and refilling the water tank. These facts extends the lifespan, but I still wouldn't expect much beyond 15 years out of it without repairs. The coffee making process puts it under pressure and vibrations, eventually something will give out.

The le cruset espresso mugs which are easily found at home goods now. Glass straws instead of silicone or metal, since you can see inside them and know there isn’t any sneaky crud. My delonghi machines have held up beautifully with proper maintenance and care but unsure if quality is now different.

Dreo Space Heater Vs Delonghi
