I have to order Dudley locks for work. I fully get what you’re saying, but tbh, the new ones loosen up after about a few weeks of daily use. Have yet to have one break, even after hitting them with an engraver. Nothing will beat the vintage ones from days of yore, but the new models aren’t total garbage … save for whichever cursed one you ended up with lol.

FYI for anyone wanting to buy one of these: go for a vintage one. I bought a brand new one a while ago, it felt cheap and broke after 2 weeks. I later found a vintage one and surprise surprise it was way better... will likely work forever without jamming like the new one did.
