Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
Yep! I'm always checking Depop, Poshmark, & eBay for the same items, and I will see the same in at least two places sometimes. I've also had sellers move and not know where they place the item

Best places to buy Rugs
eBay is the best place to buy rugs. You can buy directly from Turkey or Morocco or other countries.

I stopped buying clothes for 6 months - and I still had more than enough
None of us are really part of the problem, it should just be illegal in the first place to do much of what sustains Shein and their peers. It's frustrating that we have to do so much research in order to buy clothes that aren't doing so much harm. Highly recommend eBay for its search function and time savings. For brand, any clothes this sub recommends might be a good starting point since fast fashion is almost never going to qualify as a BuyItForLife purchase

Are Refurbished Electronics a Smart Choice?
Feel like it was worth it a while ago, but by now they actually do nothing to „refurbish“ the phone. Back in the days it was framed like they swap the battery’s and repair defects, but they actually just collect old devices, give them a rating and sell them for way too much money now. You’re better off with buying used devices from Ebay for a fraction of the „refurbished“ ones

Confession: I only buy clothes and most items made pre-2020
I recently did a mass buy as I hardly bought anything for a couple of years. eBay was a gem. If you want something made of decent material that fits nicely in the current ranges, well you eliminate 95%- 99% of the market. No I will not fucking pay $150 for a vicose long sleeve shirt, who are you kidding.

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
Smaller items that I don’t think I can sell locally I will put on eBay. Anything bigger I put on Facebook marketplace. Craigslist for me in the last few years everything I post just get a response from scammers so I stopped using it. If I had to sell a car or something big like that I might use it.

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
Yeah as a buyer eBay is awesome. Now issues at all as they almost always side with the buyer on issues.

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
I’m mid 30s F and I get so much of my clothing from ebay, depop, etsy, and poshmark. I’ve not had luck on thredup or mercari really. Vestiaire for higher end pieces. Noihsaf is also a fun one!

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
eBay, Mercari, Poshmark. Then I will look at Craigslist or anything else that might be local. Marketplace.. absolutely not. I thought the weirdos were on Craigslist 🤣🤣

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
I buy home goods and furniture, not clothes, fwiw. eBay is still excellent for a lot of things. I find a lot of sellers have been on eBay for an eternity now and the culture is basically just like it was in 1999, only now we don’t have to mail money orders back and forth! I find that if a seller says they’ll accept offers, they usually will, and it’s easy to save 10-15% just by asking. FB Marketplace can be hit or miss. I’ve found incredible deals on some things, especially high end furniture and lighting. I find there are a lot of wealthy Gen X’rs and Millennials who are happy to offload their used high end stuff for cheap. I once bought a $1000 Nelson bubble light fixture for like $300 because some rich lady in CT bought it and decided it didn’t fit her space. I have surprising luck with Mercari. Occasionally I’ll find super niche items there. I’m in to vintage Macs and I’ve found things like 20 year old new-in-box speaker sets on Mercari. Craigslist is absolutely dead in my metro area. Almost all listings are for either vehicles or weird cheap food service equipment.

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
Ebay for most items that are quick and easy to sell and ship. Otherwise FB Marketplace.

Where do people sell their stuff online nowadays?
I have been trying to buy nicer clothes since everything in retail stores seems to suck and my 30 year standby thrift stores are insanely priced. I like the clothes I have seen in Soft Surroundings, Coldwater Creek and Anthropologie but on a teacher salary that isn't very feasible. I looked on Poshmark and Mercari where there were a handful of sellers but ebay had tons and tons. I refreshed my wardrobe for about 1/3 of the retail price and I snagged some reduced prices once I put things in a watchlist. My demographic skews to Middle Age Overweight White Woman who likes prints.
