Record player. I'm caving to my vinyl head friends and jumping into the game. Looking to spend around $250 or under with speakers.
Hey. I'm curious if something a digital to analog converter like the [Wiim Pro](https://www.wiimhome.com/wiimpro/technology) would be an option for you? If you are after the audio fidelity, I'd argue pairing it with a lossless service like Quobuz is about as good as it can get. People that tell you they can hear a difference at the best sampling rates are either professional sound engineers... or lying. The [Edifier shelf speakers](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/edifier-r1280t-powered-bookshelf-speakers-computer-speakers-studio-monitor-speakers-2-0-active-near-field-monitors-42-watts-rms-brown/6402725.p?) are a strong bifl analogue speaker contender. There's a matching sub out there somewhere, but that'll put you over budget. You can obviously get better speakers, but not at the budget.

Yeah vertical players are very rare, forget about it. And a BIFL quality player is either $500+ or buy something vintage from the 70s-80s. Go to r/turntables and view the buying guides. The cheapest new option that isn’t awful is an LP60 and Edifier 1280 speakers. But it is worth spending more on both, such as LP3W turntable.
