My bifl calendar watch with moon phase
People get triggered when I mention it's a Rolex, but true life there's nothing especially fancy or horologically interesting about Rolex internals (except the Daytona, but we're not talking about a Daytona). Also, in 1974, my watch didn't cost $10k. This is a long way of saying a 1974 Elgin or even Timex would have the same shot at this longevity.

What’s your best find at Sierra Trading post?
Skea down coat and a Steinbeck of Austria wool coat plus oodles of Smart wool and Elgin blankets BUT that was before it was sold to the company that runs TJ Max. It's a pale shadow of what it was and I don't bother shopping there now.

In ear headphones. Plz help. Tired of replacing constantly.
Elgin true wireless earbuds https://elginusa.com/products/elgin-rebel-true-wireless-earplug-earbuds?srsltid=AfmBOopnx9-Wa1a0rKXOkIr0heo5_pMJdxDxTJEAHGeeKLWF-BiHIjN9# Ive tried a few major brands, these are what I've settled on. The batteries in the buds will always noticably dwindle after 5 years of daily use max, no matter the brand. Thats a physical limitation of the tech. I prefer their neckband with the wire version for sound quality and not losing a bud but the wire is a failure point if youre not careful with your shit. the good: battery lasts a whole shift passive noise cancelling is rated hearing protection, lets voices come through clearly they stay in sweaty ear holes charging case has a flashlight and is usb c company owned in america if you care mic quality seems fine for calls, no complaints or mishearing in a loud environment from the other end the bad: charging case is finicky, got to monitor it for the light to turn on for each earbud drop individually. needs the little winglet thing that twists around easily to be oriented correctly sound quality is servicable but ass for an audiophile. better than a big box shop speaker by miles though no volume control buttons, need access to broadcast device or use voice assistant app fit isnt easy for me in one ear, ymmv company owned in texas if you care
