Is there anything you're convinced is "the cheaper the better"?
Some generic brands say "compare to ..." but don't compare. Walmart house brands tend to be universally good, though, and not just skincare. I was so excited when I saw they made an Equate version of American Crew hair pomade.

I can't speak for that specific product, and I haven't tried it in a few years, but twice I tried using Equate's version of Cera Ve's PM facial moisturizer, and both times the Equate one had a faint smell of dead fish. The Equate face wash on the other hand, is a good product

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
I tried everything under the sun to reduce shaving irritation and finally tried a disposable 2 blade blue handled Equate razor with plain ol Barbrasol and I finally, after years, have no more shaving irritation. I use the razor twice (I shave once a week) and trash it.

The stupid walmart equate oil free face wash (yellow, not pink label). They already discontinued it.
