Torrent 20 or 30 is what you want. Expensive but trust me, they’re the bomb. I love Patagonia and ll bean gear, but the packs are no where near as bomber as the exped torrent

This is finally one I can answer. I’ve tried all types of daypacks over the past 20 years, mainly for my job. Hands down best pack is the exped torrent shell. These things are near bullet proof. Completely water/sand proof and will last decades, maybe your whole life

What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?
Exped sleeping mat. It was the cheapest one and I've had it for 9 years. Very niche, but our Berg Kart (if that is the right English term lol). It was cheap because the steering colomn was crooked. Took it apart, straightend it, 2 years of fun for the kids. The North Face Duffelbag. It's 10 years old, still looks snazzy :) Fisher Price stacking/nesting cups. Random, I know. After 8 years of almost daily play in the shower, they still look so good.

I bought an Exped megamat duo used at REI scratch and dent sale with slow leak in it. Even though I didn’t buy it new, Exped professionally patched my megamat duo slow leak FOR FREE and shipped it back to me for free. So I would say it may last for a very long time with them patching it whenever it is needed. Great company service and top notch mattresses.

Exped Megamat Duo. Very comfortable self inflating mattress with foam in it. Fits me and my wife comfortably while camping. So because of foam in it it is more comfortable than your typical cheap air filled bladder PVC mattress. I bought one used at an REI scratch and dent sale several years ago for pretty cheap, someone returned it because it had a hole in it. I tried patching the slow leak with trying to find the hole in my bathtub with water but I was unsuccessful. [I contacted Exped warranty department](https://www.expedusa.com/pages/warranty-and-repairs) and they have a policy to try and keep their air mattresses out of landfills. I shipped my mattress to them and they professionally patched the holes FREE OF CHARGE and mailed it back to me for free. The mattress now works good as new. I very much like this company and their mattress quality.

We have the Exped MegaMat and Nemo Quasar and love them both. Will anything air inflated last forever, I have no clue. However, they are both comfortable and warm. We've used both for well over 100 days and they are still in great condition. Had one of those air mattresses from Wal Mart prior...there's a difference....
