Discs are significantly easier and better than cups, imho. I could never use cups; I use discs with ease. Try flex disposable discs (in target or Walmart) before making the switch to reusable!

I’ve always been a Makita guy without knowing anything about the corporate side. My tools always just felt more solid and durable than coworkers’ Dewalt or Milwaukee. Then I saw this in r/construction.

Longevity was a worry of mine when I switched to flex but flex was founded 2 years prior to Milwaukee so I don’t think they are going anywhere.

I switched to Flex tools after my porter cable stuff started dying and they have been excellent for me. Part of my choice was because the person I work with most also used that brand, having the ability to share tools occasionally without needing to get their chargers or batteries is a huge help. The brand name was new to me but after some looking I found out they have a long history in Europe. I have yet to find a job they can’t do and I use them at least 3-5 days a week.
