  I really like my Frette percale sheets. I got them half off on Gilt. Unfortunately, they only have Frette sheet sets on Gilt right now. There are other options in your price range though

  Brooklinen towels Super-Plush Turkish Towels 6-Month Review

  Not to discount your recommendation, but adding another data point: I had a set of Frette towels and 2 developed holes within 3 years, and they all developed yellowing and stains that couldn't be removed. Way too expensive for what you actually get. The only pros were that they had great absorption and were never linty.

  Sometimes you can catch Sferra or Frette bedding on sale. Still not going to be budget bedding but worth spending a little extra we have found.

  Both the Frette Classic (two embroidered lines) or Triplo Bourdon (three embroidered lines) are good plain-weave options if you want crisp sheets.

  llbean percale if you dont want to go crazy, frette if you do want to go crazy. i have both and the frette are better....but are they 5X better? no. (law of diminishing returns) macys hotel collection made in italy line is also decent if you can get them on sale. if youre on a more strict budget macys charter club (100% cotton) i found to be decent; dont own them but i was impressed looking at them in store.

  Boll and Branch sheets are indeed super soft and worth it for durability and comfort. I've also tried Frette sheets for a seriously luxurious feel and have found them equally satisfying. I've found them useful to explore alternatives to Brooklinen and Parachute when I was looking to upgrade.

  I’ve tried a lot of different sheets over the years, and while Brooklinen and Parachute work great for everyday use, I once had the chance to sleep on Frette sheets during a luxury hotel stay. They were incredibly soft and felt exceptionally high-end...the kind of upgrade that makes you appreciate the craftsmanship behind them. I wouldn’t say they’re the most practical for daily use due to their price, but if you’re after something that feels truly luxurious and noticeably softer, Frette is my top recommendation.

  BIFL sheet brand suggestions?

  +1 on the Costco idea. The Kirkland line with the American grown cotton at 680 thread count. Those are the ones you’re looking for. They’re definitely higher quality than any other sheets I have. For luxury, if that’s what you want, I’d look at Frette. I’ve slept on them, they’re nice, but Kirkland is what’s on my bed.
