French Press for life?
I’ve been using the 44oz Frieling for 5 years now. 2-3 brews a day. I love it

French Press for life?
Just don't get anything with plastic parts that touch your coffee. I'm pretty sure the plastic holds flavors. I had one with a plastic basket but it's stainless body and my coffee is much better since I got the Freiling. You only have to buy one once. I hope you find a good press that you like. It's so important to enjoy your coffee.

Small Coffee Drip Machine
Frieling is da bomb. I have one. Totally worth the $$ and they sell spare parts for cheap. Only downside to French press is it takes longer to clean than pour over. Having extra body in your morning coffee is totally worth the extra work though.

Small Coffee Drip Machine
Coffee machines are pretty much designed to fail. There's a decent number of moving electronic parts that are being made cheaper and cheaper by most commercial manufacturers. In my experience, there's very few exceptions and they're all in the very high-end price range. Get a pour-over, moka-pot, or french press. Barely (if at all) more complicated than operating a coffee filter + grounds machine, with none of the mechanical failure. Aeropress is often suggested, and I'm partial to double-walled metal french presses, like ones fro Frieling or even Hydroflask/William Sonoma.

Buy a frieling if you ever have to replace yours so you don’t need to replace parts.

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
Pour over coffee (Hairo, Yeti, Ikea, OXO) with a gooseneck tea kettle French Press depending on the make (Frieling is very BIFL- made for cafe use) Moka Pot is very BIFL as well. Lots of options out there that are not a percolator. If you want a more traditional coffee maker there is Moccamaster.

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
Insulated stainless steel French press! I’ve had mine over 10 years. I think the brand is freiling or something. Great coffee and I can use any type of beans etc. burr grinder and electric kettle as well.
