Towels that don’t suck
Came here to say this - we got 4 of the Frontgate Resort Bath Sheets and they are the most luxurious towels I've ever owned. Haven't pilled at all, they are massive, and they're so soft!

Bath Towel Recommendations Please
I realize your post was from 1 year ago, BUT I wanted to buy towels for the first time in (let's just say a LOT) of years. I was struggling and kept reading about Frontgate Resort Collection and their Egyptian cotton. I think your post helped me decide to go with the Resort Collection. The Wire recommended it as their #1 and Travel & Leisure recommended their Egyptian cotton. So I was torn. You and someone else said Resort so Resort it is! I picked up 2 bath sheets (larger dimensions than a standard bath towel) from Frontgate based on a wirecutter recommendation and agree that once you go Turkish the bar has been raised and other towels feel inferior. One frustration with Frontgate however is that they seem to play pricing/promo code games, like they'll have a holiday "sale" promo code but if you use it, it negates free shipping and the seemingly disproportionately high shipping charge can significantly cut into the promo code discount. I genuinely do not know what a good deal looks like, would need a spreadsheet and web crawler to continuously scrape the pricing data...

I agree. I spent the night at a friend's house and loved their towels so much, I asked what they were. Their Frontgate resort towels were still nice and like new after 8 years. We got ours several years ago and they still wash up like new. They are a little pricey, so just wait for a sale. Some other people on here said Turkish towels. I bought a set full bed bath and beyond (tells you how long ago that was!), and they lasted a long time (5-6 years). But eventually they started to hold onto odors, even after being washed with baking soda and vinegar. I forget the brand name. I still haven't had that problem with our Frontgate towels. They're made from Turkish cotton. They are very fluffy and dry fast.

Frontgate towels are fantastic. Thick absorbent cotton loops, bath sheet size is great. Bought ours in 2002 and still going strong. Warm wash, medium dry, no fabric softener.

Request: Best beach towels?
I know this post is a bit old, but I totally understand the struggle of finding good quality beach towels. A lot of the options these days are made from that thin, less absorbent material. If you’re still on the hunt, some great brands that offer large, absorbent terry cloth towels include **L.L. Bean**, **Brooklinen**, and **Frontgate**. These are known for their plush, thick feel and excellent absorbency. For a more budget-friendly option, **Utopia Towels** makes a great set of large, soft towels that hold up well. Front gate towels vs Matouk bathroom towels
I have Front Gate towels. They are extremely nice, the best I have ever used and every time I have guests over they comment on them. I would recommend them. I don't have Matouk, so cannot directly compare them.
