The 21st Century Ruined Everything 😭
Georgia boots are made well and are super comfortable. It’s the only brand I buy.

Work boots in the 150 USD range, with and without toe protection
Red Wing boots are garbage compared to what they used to be. It used to be almost a no brainer that Red Wing was the gold standard. Now they are merely "standard". And the majority of their models these days are direct attach, which for anybody looking for something with actual quality is a no go because they are mostly all garbage regardless of brand and are unlikely to last more than a year regardless of what brand or model you buy. Especially Keen. I wouldn't take a pair of those if you gave them to me for free. I'd have recommended sticking to the higher end models by Georgia boot, Timberland Pro, Chippewa, and only stitched models, no direct attach, or if you want an ACTUAL very high quality boot, then look at White's boots which are hand made and a lot more of a BIFL boot than pretty much anything else out there.

What are the warmest winter boots you've ever owned? Looking for recommendations
I’m a fan of anything made by Georgia or Danner. I have had my Georgias for 20+ years (10 of those were daily drivers on my motorcycle) , re-soled 3 times. The cobbler complements them every time I bring them in 😊

Good quality boots that will last me a decade?
I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone mention Georgia Boot. I worked in plumbing and hvac for 5+ years in one pair of Georgias, done glacial hikes in the same pair 5 years later and they’re still the best boots I’ve ever owned. I use them for damn near everything and barely take care of them and the eyelets haven’t even popped off.

Work is paying for me to get snakeproof/waterproof boots, what wont immediately fall apart?
One week. Georgia Boot will get you through+. Mine have lasted quite a while. They are relatively cheap and durable. All depends on how hard the work is.

Comfortable work boots?
In my experience, you need to be at the $250 mark, and that was 5 years ago, so $300 is probably more likely. That said, my buddy loves his Georgia boots that were $190. I personally love my US made Carolina boots. I have some Thorogood boots, but they are too narrow. If they fit, I'd like them a lot better. Thorogood and Red Wing are the starting point of quality boots from what most people say. I personally like my Carolinas, but they were only $15 or 20 cheaper than the Thorogoods. Goodyear welts and as much leather as possible is key to BIFL. Also, unless you need it for comfort, wedge soles tend to wear out. The Thorogood and Keen soles are about the best from what I hear, but a hard leather will last longer.

Comfortable Repairable Boots?
Check out Georgia Boot company. My husband retired and started spending a lot of time volunteering in the community garden plus he does Home Improvement stuff involving cement and mud and all sorts of wet conditions. He went through a couple of pairs of boots that only lasted barely through a season. The slip-ons I bought him from this company show everything he stepped in but no signs of weakness or serious wear and they are unbelievably comfortable according to him even after a long day carrying stuff around and digging and working overall.
