Outfit for pilates/workout
lululemon quality is real but you're right about the price. for similar fabrics without the hype, check out girlfriend collective - their compressive leggings are amazing and they use recycled materials. also, outdoor voices used to be great (their techsweat fabric is similar to lululemon's luxtreme) though their quality has shifted lately. for basics, boody's bamboo fabric is super soft and durable. if you want to spend a bit less, old navy's powersoft line is surprisingly good for the price, just check the fabric content - look for nylon/spandex blends, not just polyester.

Girlfriend collective, athleta, vuori are all more environmentally conscious versions of lululemon but they all still have a lot of hype sound them. I buy a lot of my pieces second hand for that reason.

I love Athleta pants! They last forever, even though I purchased most of mine from Poshmark or pulled them out of the Goodwill bins. Their size range is great and I also like that they’re a certified b corp. If you aren’t into Athleta, Girlfriend Collective also makes super durable leggings and has a great wide size range ❤️

I have yet to destroy anything I’ve gotten from girlfriend collective. I’m fat and very active and their leggings, bike shorts and sports bras are just top tier. They have a great extended size range as well.

what winter coat are yall using?
Thrifted oversized wool dress coat for fancy days. Many, many years-old ankle-length puffer coat from Girlfriend Collective for not fancy days

Good quality yoga pants
For something durable and comfortable, I’d recommend looking into brands like **Lululemon**, **Athleta**, or **Girlfriend Collective**. They offer great options with longer inseams that should work well for tall folks. **Lululemon's Align leggings** are super popular and buttery soft, but a bit on the pricey side (definitely worth it if you're doing a lot of yoga). If you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, **Old Navy’s PowerSoft** leggings are amazing for the price, and they have some good tall options too. Another thing to consider is the fabric. Look for something with a bit of spandex or elastane for stretch, and make sure they have a good waistband (I personally hate when they keep rolling down during practice). By the way, I actually wrote a detailed guide on the best yoga pants, covering everything from fit to fabric. Feel free to check it out. It might help narrow down your choices and save some time: [https://voyedy.com/best-yoga-pants/](https://voyedy.com/best-yoga-pants/) Hope that helps!

Name your top 5 BIFL items
* My Frye Melissa knew-high leather boots. They’ve been resoled a couple of times. My Ukrainian cobbler approves “Dees boots will serf you your entar life” (sorry, accent hard to convey). I have 4 pairs of Frye boots. I think I either purchased them secondhand or was gifted all of them. I’ve also had 3 or 4 pairs of their shoes. The [Kenzi Venetians](https://www.thefryecompany.com/products/kenzie-venetian-cognac?variant=44106757898431&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21613660737&gbraid=0AAAAAD_SVVvGw7fTNPoOd1GUxw1ap_xZv&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjo7DBhCrARIsACWauSk2mRtHFyLcOLZerEY4qTYnnIrrpK2sUl3BPEVhjGyB6-BK5Td34D8aApqxEALw_wcB) look comfortably worn in after 6 years of office wear. Got them in snakeskin and they’re nowhere near as comfortable. I also tried the [Carson](https://www.thefryecompany.com/products/carson-ballet-woodrose?variant=44106714448063&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22344483775&gbraid=0AAAAAD_SVVuZYbeMk04-TFK5cvzC0s87X&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjo7DBhCrARIsACWauSkSRJ7fLOPPY2L3af5_CCM9LmiRkwsVyjdqgyWwJ7BvZpWpUASvVmkaAkSVEALw_wcB) flats and they were ok, lasted maybe 3-4 years. * I’ve had a pair of men’s Wrangler duck cloth pants from Wal Mart for like 7 years. Granted I don’t work outside but they’re generally handy for any yard work, painting, boating in the cold, etc. * My Girlfriend Collective products have held up really well over the years. I’ve heard some of the reviews were less good recently (so frustrating) but everything I’ve gotten has been good. I have 2 sports bras, a onesie/leotard/wrassling suit, a tennis dress, and a pair of leggings. I prolong the use of my stuff with mending and fixing it when I can. I haven’t had to mend the pants or girlfriend collective stuff.
