I have a vintage Gloverall (UK made) pea coat. And I'm on the lookout for a good original or replica drab M65 US Army jacket.

Decently priced wool greatcoats that will keep me warm sub-zero celsius?
Picked up a Gloverall that was barely used on Grailed for $80. While not the warmest coat, still does a great job with blocking wind and keeping me warm.

Unpopular Opinion: "BIFL" as an excuse for overspending
“No clothing is for life.” I bought a wool toggle coat made in England by Gloverall, sold by LL Bean. It is my daily winter coat since the late 80’s in Chicago. The hemp-like loops went bad almost immediately. LL Bean picked up the cost of replacing them with belting leather- about $100 back then at a local leather / fur shop. Since then, no issues except I lost the button-on neck guard. It’s going to outlast me.
