Yes, all made locally in Austria. It's a big thing for them. Most use stitchdown construction. I want to buy their clox model, it is made in better quality than birkenstock but they didn't have the tall model in the store (had to order it). My Giesswein Vent's have started falling apart after 1 year...Better alternative at similar price?
1.5 years into owning 5 different pairs of Glerups (some leather-soled, some rubber-soled, some shoes and one bootie). I have to order several pairs at once and then select the pair the fits best as their fit is different on every pair I’ve bought. I’ve purchased pairs for all my family members. Love the felted wool, the feel of the feet hug. However, they’re falling apart. Hole in the toe while the shoe stretched so much that it falls off my foot now. All fit differently, poor quality control. I’m about to order a pair of Sanita and a pair of Guisswein. I do love my Haflingers but looking for something a little different. Finally giving up on Glerups.

I think your idea to have two pair and alternate them so they have a chance to dry out is wise. You might even use a boot drier on the spare pair. I like my Birkenstock Zematts and Glerup boots. I think the best I’ve had were Haflingers. Wool is the way to go. My feet rarely sweat but Crocs will do it, so I don’t know why everyone’s recommending plastic slippers.
