Vagabond shoes are of horrible quality.
My girlfriend has a bunch of pairs, and it’s been a mixed bag - some are totally decent/reasonably durable, but others seem much less so. To be honest while they look nice, I don’t personally really categorize them as high quality. I wonder if they used to be much better quality, as my girlfriend insists that in the past she had some really durable ones. To be honest I think you should look for older l shoe companies: i.e. Solovair if you want that Doc Martens or European look, or something like Danner or Hanwag if you want a more hiking style, or Red Wing for work boots. They also go on sales, so don’t balk at the initial price you see on their websites. If you want dress shoes there are a bunch of good suggestions on the subreddit - I have a pair from Glein in Vienna that I really like.

Durable walking boot recommendations?
Choose a quality brand: Meindl, Hanwag, Lowa or Lundhags. Choose boots with a full leather upper, metal hardware and a resolable structure. Take care of the leather once in a while. That's a solid recipe right there!

Asolo is garbage and their customer service sucks donkey d!ck; what's my next boot brand?
Lowa, Salomon, Hanwag. Have had many years of life out of all three brands, and comfortable right out of the box. The Salomons run a little tight, but fit like a glove after a few treks!

Looking for 3-season hiking boots with low stack height, that are made with leather and available in the EU.
My Camino are made in Germany and I absolutely love them. You could also check out Hanwag Kalixfors. Those are made in Croatia and have a fairly low heel

Non-popular sneakers which will last at least couple of years
Salomon has gone to shit sadly. I use Hanwag and Meindl for hiking shoes now. And switched to Timberland Leather shoes for daily wear.

Boots of this style that aren’t made in China ?
Adding some more available European made alternatives: Llowa, Hanwag and Meindl make great outdoor and trekking footwear. Some of the leather models have a nice rugged look for everyday wear
